This 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet is finished in Alpine White (L90E) with a blue soft top over Marine Blue leather and vinyl. It is powered by a 3.0-liter M44/41 inline-four paired with a rear-mounted five-speed manual transaxle. Features include a lower rear spoiler, 16″ Design 90 alloy wheels, and an aftermarket CD player. Thecondition of the paintwork is shown in the gallery below. Flaws include paint had flaked off when the old cracked and faded stone guards were removed, as well as chips on the nose, side mirrors, and door molding strips. S2-specific equipment consists of a revised front bumper cover with fog lights and a lower rear spoiler shared with the contemporary 944 Turbo. The following services have been completed within the past year, an oil change, the fuel tank flushed, a new fuel strainer installed, new fuel pump and new fuel and air filter replacement. The following items have been recently replaced within a 10 month period: blue convertible top, the leather shift knob boot in the marine blue leather, the 2 front eight point position electric seats (I have the old seats as well as a box of spare parts that will go with the car when purchased). The timing belt and balance shaft belt and seals where replaced at around the 105,000 mi. I had a professional mechanic perform an inspection and adjustment. He reported that the belts and the cam chain guide were in great condition (Pictures are available upon request). In the past month the car developed an oil leak the car went straight into the mechanic where it was diagnosed with a leakage caused by the valve cover gasket. They replaced the valve cover gasket with a very expensive gasket kit. There were 18 gaskets in the kit. When they had the valve cover off they noticed the cam shaft positioning sensor should be replaced so they replaced that also. This car runs great and is a rare find in such good condition. It has a clean car fax report. History: During the manufacturing period of the 944 S2 Cabriolet 1989-1991 there were 5,656 produced worldwide and only 2402 were brought to the USA. I'm the 3rd owner. The previous owners, had the car for 28 years combined in Texas and for the past last 10 months it has been in Florida. I love the car but for unforeseen circumstances I have to sell my dream car. This is a beautifully balanced car for anyone that appreciates Porsche.
