1956 Porsche Speedster NR

You are looking at an early Porsche Speedster replica; a 1978 Intermeccanica 356 Speedster replica. This is a good driving car: But it was built in 1978 and is showing some "patina". This is a Vintage replica of a vintage car. I think this car was factory assembled, but there is no way of knowing for sure. The Odometer reads 16K miles, but I doubt this is accurate. NO RESERVE auction, highest bidder wins.
The Car is clean and maintained and ready to drive and enjoy. It was built on a modified period VW beetle chassis with stock 1600 running gear. IRS rear suspension with 4 CV joints (no swing axles). The motor is properly tuned and runs smooth and nice. I'm 6 ft. tall and I can fit comfortably in this car.
I have owned this car 10 years and have driven it and enjoyed it each summer. Very fun car to drive. Tight. The stock 1600 running gear is plenty of power for this lightweight roadster. Easy to work on and maintain, parts are cheap.
This car is a Toy! Manual transmission (4 speed), no AC, no Radio, no roll up windows! a speedster. The interior is nice, Cocoa mats. Top and side curtains are decent and complete. Tires are very good. Battery is very good (maintained with a trickle charger).
Clear Illinois title in my name. Titled as a 1978 Porsche.
Bad stuff: The temp. gauge doesn't work, the horn doesn't work, probably simple stuff to correct. There is a drippy oil leak, probably the rear main seal. It has not been bad enough to replace yet... But I keep some cardboard under the car in my barn. All lights and signals work. The brakes are good, but sometimes you will need to pump it a couple times to get the pedal firmer.
The paint is nice and presentable, but it does have some normal scuffing and chips and "patina". There are also some spots of touch up paint. The chrome parts have some age and a bit of pitting. This is an old, unrestored car!
