This is a attention getting 57 porsche speedster powered by a 2.5 dohc 170hp Subaru motor. It's a cmc body on a 70 bug chassis and titled as so. Original owner bought the kit in 83 and got as far as mounting the body to bug chassis and that's it. I bought it in 2016 and finished it in 2017 and have put 1700 trouble free miles on it. Features Subaru 2.5 motor, stock harness and ecu,obd2 connection, cold air intake. 4.10 irs transmission, front disc brake, air shocks with compressor,20mm sway bars f&r, electronic vdo guages with GPS speedo, odyssey battery, nardi steering wheel, custom plaid interior, soft top, full tonneau, cruzin windows, coco mats. The car runs great with no issues at all. The car is VERY FAST.can beat my Subaru sti by car or two length and it's a 12.5 in the 1/4 mile. Runs at 175° no matter the condition even over a 100° here in Phoenix. Adjustable air suspension is nice to get over speed bumps and lower to look good. The exterior is in its original gel coat which I've left to fade to give it a used patina and stickers I've aged as well. Looks like a vintage racer. The gel coat will buff out pretty good if you prefer the shinny car look(first pic is of it buffed when I first got it going). With the patina now I never get asked if it's a kit car.the just assume its real because it's not new and shiny. It does come with a built 3.88 freeway flyer transmissio, and air conditioning not installed(compressor condenser under dash a/c unit).I also have every receipt, article, brochure from 83 including auto trader add for the 70 bug donor car. I absolutely love this car and only selling become starting my class mini cooper with a Honda drivetrain build. Don't have room for both and my daily drivers.
