Here is a absolutely drop dead gorgeous. 1985 Porsche 928S that is in very nice condition inside and out. This is a very solid Arizona car that is a blast to drive. so much so the original owner nick named it "Red Jet" as seen on the original front plate. It is a very clean. unmolested car that has been very well kept over the years. This car has always lived in Arizona although the car fax shows it has been registered in Colorado- the owner had a home there. This car is a true Arizona car. Bought new at Scottsdale Porsche by original and only owner Mr. Ron Mcgee on January 28th. 1986. Everything is dry and clean! This 928S had an original MSRP of $54. 29 all the back in 1985! The 928 was made forever famous by Tom Cruise in the blockbuster Risky Business. There is nothing cooler then a driving vintage Porsche! The exterior of the 928S is finished in the absolute best color of Guards Red and underwent a show quality repaint about 5 years ago according to the original owner. This was a no expense spared refinish and it looks better now that it did when painted from the factory. The entire car was pulled apart and not a tape line or over spray mark can be found anywhere. The beautiful re-paint was finished off with a hand painted gold pinstripe which compliments the beautiful BBS multi piece wheels and new tires. The body is totally solid and is as straight as an Arizona arrow. with no dings dents or bumps EVER. All door gaps appear to be factory original and correct. Overall the underside is completely solid and rust free as any AZ car should be. All the weather stripping on the car is soft and supple. The factory electric sunroof seals up nicely and headliner is perfect. and is in excellent condition with no rips or ware. The very nice Palomino interior looks excellent. The seats. door panels. carpet. and headliner all look very nice and really set the car off. The special order leather interior was always protected by sheep skin seat covers. and a nice pair will come with the car! The gauges are all in excellent condition and work correctly. There are a couple hairline cracks on the cluster cover. a common issue and as to be expected from a lifelong Arizona car! All the gauges and lights work as they should. The original radio and speakers were factory upgraded to the centrally balanced Porsche Loudspeaker system that sounds great. All the courtesy lights as well as all the running lights work as they should. Also the lights. horn. turn signals. defroster work. Glass remains in tact with no cracks or chips. Mechanically. this 928s is in excellent condition! Anyone who knows Porsche knows that these early 80's Porsche's are regarded as the best years to own. The engine compartment is clean as a whistle and shows how well this car was kept. Both the Engine and Trans are factory numbers matching. The car was just serviced and oil changed at a local Porsche specialist and was given a clean bill of health (Stuttgart Southwest). At 45. 00 miles the shop pressure checked and flushed cooling system and replaced a leaking heater control valve. They also inspected water pump and cam timing belt at that time and gave it a clear bill of health and said replacement is not yet required. The suspension is tight and true and handles as a Porsche should. The car easily cruises at Autobahn speeds well over 100mph. The odometer reads a bit under 45. 60 miles. which is AutoCheck certified to be original. This car was dealer maintained under the warranty until right around 23. 00 miles (Major Service Completed). From there the car was taken care of religiously via oil changes and fluid flushes prior to their due date. All systems work and the car does not over heat and is a true pleasure to drive. The Air Conditioning was just serviced and blows Ice Cold. This little diamond and is ready for the next cruise night or car show. The bonnet is in excellent condition and still retains all of its factory carpeting as well as the space saver spare with the original jack and compressor in box. Also all the gas struts have been replaced on the rear hatch as well as the engine compartment. The documentation on this car is as good as you can ask for.
