Car description |
---|
1986 Porsche 951/944 turbo. Black/black. Early car. Restored over last year. New tires Firestone Indy 500 wide oval on factory offset width wheels with painted crests. I will include a bound binder of receipts to come with car. Factory new rotors, pads and brake sensors. Bilstein sport suspension. New wheel bearings. Suspension bushings gone through and replaced as needed. Rebuilt rack and pinion, and power steering pump. New a/c compressor and conversion to r134a. Factory motor mounts. All engine seals from top to bottom. Bearings mic, as new, compression strong and within a few percent. New factory cup clutch. Timing belt and Rollers. Balance shaft belts. Plugs. Beru wires. L and R Racing aluminum cup radiator (same company as intercooler). Heater valve. All new fluids including brake fluid. New factory clutch master and slave. New starter. Rebuilt Lindsey computers, car runs 15 pounds of boost, so it's strong. It's a 5R car so it has the limited slip with oil cooler. It has upgraded bellows headers. It's an early car so no abs. No airbags. Has power sunroof, windows, mirrors, deck release. New factory Porsche crest embossed leather seats. No dash cracks. A/C button works. No broken glove box or armrest. No worn steering wheel or shift knob. New bushings in shifter so it's tight like new. Modern stereo and speakers with speakers mounted correctly and as original. Interior is great. Fresh paint, not perfect but very good. (Factory) New stone guards. Rear decal. No rust or major body repairs. Car runs exceptionally well. I've worked on these since new and this one is very strong, tight and quiet. Handles, stops and performs fantastically. Interior is stunning, full leather embossed seats, car smells new. The mechanics are superb and done correctly. Paint is not perfect but it was disassembled and seals, stickers, stone guards were replaced. I took pictures in every way to show lines and reflective quality. Including a compound bottle placed so you can see you can read in the paint. Hagerty's page included. Car is closer to a number 2 than a number 3. Cars tight, well cared for, well sorted and the mileage is in line. please don't contact me arguing on price etc unless you are making an offer. No history lessons, I worked at Porsche when these came off the trucks.
Don't use other adds to negotiate prices with me. You are not looking at cars in person and I guarantee you most have odo discrepancies and hidden issues. Very. Very. Few VDO gauged cars of this era or GM, Ford are correct. You judge totally by condition. This car is TMU and odo shows 93k. I believe this is close because I replaced factory wear items that last about 100k such as clutch and rotors and yes they were stamped vP. I know the PO bought the car and thought he was going to make big money but like most, it needed work. He tried to make PO buyback because odo issue but was over 10 years old. I know that original PO had odo failure and shop put a loaner cluster reading 150k in car until new odo came from Germany. I have no idea why they didn't regear it. I verified the new odo is in place and was dated 1999. So the PO lost his case then claimed to me that all the poor work and issues was Lindsey racing which we all know to be untrue. Then he wldnt sign thenotorized part of title so I had to fight to get that. He claimed the PO he bought from sold him high mileage car but the condition was low. Irregardless, it's restored and you can judge for yourself.
So if you are serious and not wasting time. You want a phenomenal 951 that's been gone through then look at this one. Or buy the cheap one and you can pay a mechanic as I to install a clutch and all associated parts, t-belt kit and all associates. Probably motor mounts and you could bout this one cheaper.
Now the legal. Car is sold as is, where is, no warranty express or implied. No returns except for gross misrepresentation of product. I sold for years under the name 951nut. No complaints. ( except from ex who pirated account cuz I like eBay). This is a 33 year old car. I would love to stand behind it and warranty it forever but I've learned my lesson. I have no qualms driving it cross country. I take pride in my work and accuracy. Nothing is perfect in life though. I prefer a buyer come see it or perhaps pay me to bring it but we can ship it. I believe the new owner will be happy. I've owned and worked on bunches of these and I'm close to keeping this one even over an 88 turbo s. Good luck and hope you love it. Should be good for another 30 years! Need no help selling, no armchair commandos or ( price choppers, because back in late 1990,s I received these cars for almost free when then needed belts, head gaskets, clutches and transaxle. Get over it, their valuable now. I bought 930, for less than 30k back then. 1970 911S for 6500 and 1970 914/6 for 4000. I'm welcome to reasonable offers.
