Authentic 1956 Porsche 356A 1500 GS Carrera Speedster. raced in the 1960's then stored in a California garage 40 years. One owner since 1965; rust-free-factory-original metal throughout; 54. 21 original miles. Never wrecked; superb factory body gaps; door. hood. and decklid numbers match (hood never kinked). All factory undercarriage spotwelds are pristine. including the original battery box. One of the best original-metal Carrera Speedsters in existence. The previous 50-year owner acquired this car in 1965 when he traded a 1957 Porsche 356A Speedster for it. Henceforth this car was only raced. never driven on the street; and it was garaged permanently in 1975. The original four-cam engine was lost prior to 1965. and subsequently a Lukes and Shoreman roller-bearing 1600 was installed. The original gearbox shifts smooth. the car runs and drives excellent.
