This 1965 Porsche 356C is a true California Time capsule. Only owned by 2 families since new, and driven an average of approximately 2500 miles per year. Very lovingly driven and maintained. Always garaged and covered, wearing its original black paint and red leather interior. No accidents, no rust, no paint work, ever. Original keys, original floor mats, original steering wheel cover, all original tools and jack, original manual, and Blaupunkt radio. Even has the factory bud vase. The ashtray and lighter have never been used. First year of 4 wheel disc brakes. Chrome wheels, even the spare. Everything works except the clock, which seems to have a mind of its own. Alpine speakers under the dash are the only variance from stock, also comes with spare speakers.
The doors open and shut just as they did when it left the factory, smooth and solid. Same with the hood and engine compartment latches. All original glass and chrome and lenses. The floor pans are absolutely rock solid, with no rust or corrosion.
The 1582cc pushrod OHV Flat 4 motor fires up eagerly, and runs perfectly. The gearbox shifts perfectly, and the car runs, drives, tracks, steers, and stops exactly as it should. It is a real joy to drive, and it truly feels like traveling back in time.
This car is a true piece of automotive history, and an amazing addition to ANY car collection. Comes with full service history and few spare bits. The 356C has a clean California Title, and is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
