1960 Porsche 356 B Super 90 Coupe

1960 Porsche 356B Super 90 Coupe VIN 113053 Engine 800228If you walked into Porsche in 1960 and wanted the most bad ass car you could get, this was it. Since the Factory had discontinued the Carrera 4-cam motor with the introduction of the Super 90, this was the top of the line motor for 1960. Additionally, this car was ordered with some of the most race spec options the Factory had available including the larger 80L gas tank, Speedster Seat, and rear camber compensating bar, this car was loaded to race! All of these options can be verified by the scan of the Factory Kardex (Build Sheet) And if that wasn't enough to make this the coolest car out there it was also ordered in Paint code 6012 Royal Blue (Konigsblau), a truly stunning special order color, which was paired with Black seats with Corduroy Inserts. Multiple examples of the original color car are evident when we sanded through the primer. The car was German delivery. Additional options per the Kardex are Speedster Side Spears, Chrome Wheels, and Electric Clock. The 80L tank is no longer with the car.The original Super 90 engine was replaced at some point with a period correct Super 90 engine number 800228. It also looks like the front end was replaced. The battery box and the floors have been replaced, please see pics. More rust repair will need to be done, again please study the pics.As far as project 356's go, cars like this rarely see the open market. A car as heavily optioned and beautifully trimmed as this one will be stunning once restored and guaranteed to be the only one at the next concour. Don't miss out!
