Car description |
---|
This survivor 911 was built just prior to summer break of August of 1965, it has the early strut towers and is ready to drive your favorite roads as it is, or be restored to concurs.
It is FIA compliant and approved.Solid and original it has not been modified. Showing one repaint since new. a large collection of records and the original books accompany the car, it has been well loved.
Without a doubt an early 911 is the top driving experience for many Porsche enthusiasts world wide. If you're a fan of the 911 over the past 50 plus years, and haven't experienced where it began, you need to. Certainly the SWB 911s have become valuable/collectable, and for good reason, but it doesn't always have to be that high dollar original or concurs restored 911.
One of the most iconic and recognizable vintage sports car, Porsche's first generation 911 has become a must for collectors and Porschefiles alike. Every book and article has been written by the elite automotive minds, all the content you could ever read to learn about the history, details, specifications, etc. of the '65 911. What hasn't been written (unless named Wolfgang, Hans Peter, McQueen, Seinfeld, Zwart, Magnus, etc.) is the feeling we all have walking up to and getting in this simple sports car, our feeling as we drive, and our feeling when we park that leads to us wanting more. There is a lot to be said for no computers, wood steering wheel and dash, 4.5" wheels, 901 5 speed transmission, all powered by the legendary 2.0 liter 130 hp engine.
Chassis 302161 certainly deserves to be on the road, and driven by someone ready to create memories in a legendary 911.
