Built with high quality attention to detail in 09 by long time PCA driving instructor and Porsche mechanic in San Diego CA. Vehicle has clean California title and set up for Street diving, Canyons, compete in SCCA or Porsche Auto-Cross.
It is Street Legal, sounds and shifts wonderful, handles like a Go-Kart Quick & nimble! Vehicle had always been serviced and has always been garaged in California with no rust and looks wonderful and drives great. It is truly a fine example and attention grabber of a great maintained Spyder.
Recent Services included fresh rebuild motor at 17k miles, new brakes, new clutch.I have always done oil service on the car every 1k miles or every 6 month depending on use, with adjusting the carbs when necessary. Build Sheet:Fresh 1765cc AirCooled Motor, Solex Dual Carburetors w/Chrome housing and K&N AirCleaners, Stroker Crank, 009 Distributor, Bosch Plugs, EMPI Headers, Stinger Exhaust, Upgraded master w/4Wheel Disc Brakes w/ Braided lines, Adjustable Front & Rear Tight IRS Suspension, Prothane Bushings, Performance Sway Bars, Blistein shocks, EMPI Hubs, Custom OutLaw 15" Wheels, all tires are 185's and rear tires were just replaced and have 100 miles on them and the fronts have 1000 on them. Hurst Shifter w/ 4 Speed Transmission. Perry D's kit on reinforced 68 VW pan with Steel Subframe.
It's very easily registered and insured as 68 VW and is smog exempt. Black-out OutLaw look, Custom Wheels and Badges. All books & docs kept in binder. Perry D's were featured in HotRod magazine as best kit Big & Tall. It's wider with bigger stance, wider wheels and more aggressive racing look. Perry D's accommodate taller drivers comfortably as I'm 6'3" and have plenty of legroom and it gives it great racing vintage appearance. Interior has Ampco Tonneau cover, Roll bar, vintage Dino Steering wheel, Porsche VDO gauges, vinyl vintage look bucket seats with seat belts, rear seat storage compartmen, Aluminum Gas Tank, High Light kicker, battery shut off switch. Painted in Porsche Silver #8914 PPG Base Coat with nice removable decals.
Car is listed locally and can be removed from eBay at any time if sold and it has a clear California title with no back fees and current registration.
