Car description

1961 Porsche 356B T5 Reutter Coupe Has been in the family since 1987. Was serviced and returned to driving condition which included installation of a new rear wheel cylinder and brake shoes, a rebuilt fuel pump, fresh fluids, and more. There are pics of the restoration in the late 80's. Porsche Production Specifications certificate, a driver's manual, and a clean Florida title. The car was disassembled and acid-dipped in the 1980s, followed by rust repairs using Stoddard sheet metal including replacement of the rockers, floor pans, inner fenders, diagonal and longitudinal members, lock posts, and battery box. The hood, engine cover, and doors bear matching stampings as pictured. The paint is from the 80's restoration. The original painted wheels are included. An auxiliary gauge pod is mounted below the ignition switch. The numbers-matching flat-four was balanced and rebuilt with machine work performed by Orlando-area specialist Bo Laws to Harry Pellow specifications. Larger-bore cylinder heads and pistons have been fitted for a total displacement of 1,720cc. The heads were ported and polishing. All bearings, piston rings, gaskets and seals were replaced. Installation of a Harry Pellow "Maestro Grind" cam. Weber 40 IDF carburetors were added. The crankcase is stamped with 605290, matching the number listed on the Porsche Production Specifications certificate. The 4-speed manual transaxle which has a date code and casting number but the Vin # space is blank.Might have been a warranty replacement. Driveline fluids were reportedly changed in late 2018, and an axle seal and boots were also replaced. A rebuilt starter and generator. Additional images of the underbody and exposed drum brakes can be seen below. The refurbishment began in the late 1980s and was completed in 1995. A binder of photographs included in the sale. I have a huge file of detailed pics. All the rusted area's are shown in the last 6 pic's. I have 100's or more pic. Just ask for the link and also a few youtube videos Thanks
