Car description |
---|
Truly great condition for an unrestored, survivor. This car was original imported by my dad in 1985. It was ordered to his specs via a broker in St. Louis. My brother then owned it (gifted) sometime around 2000-2001. I inherited it in 2016.
Features:
Why am I selling? I have a bunch of other cars. I drive a 911 Turbo S when I'm not in my Cayenne. As much as I loved this car, I just don't have room for it. My kids are annoyed with me but sinceneither can drive a stick (and I'm not teaching them in this car) its not for them.
It's time for another Porsche lover to enjoy and drive her. We are ready to part company.
I have more pics and a video walk around if you want to see it just message me.
I will happilyassist you in getting the car transported and you are welcome to come see it and take it home from here in St. Louis, MO however all shipping costs will be borne by the buyer.
Features:
- Full leather interior, basically every surface in the car, headliner includes (not the floors obviously) is leather. Basically no vinyl or plastic really anywhere and its in great shape. There is a bit of shrinkage around the passenger side front defroster and A-pillar but that's it. Seats are otherwise in great shape and not just for a 30+ year old car.
- Rare 5 speed transmission. Shifts perfectly in and out of all gears. Clutch is in great condition as well
- ABS brakes. Braking is strong however periodically the ABS light comes on then goes off again. Local Porsche dealer tells me its a sensor.
- Original "phone-dial" wheels. They were chromed at some point in the 80s, but nevertheless they are in good shape and are sporting brand new tires.
- Starts, runs and drives reliably and is a ton of fun. I have driven the car most of my life on and off and it still sounds and feels like it did the first time I got to drive it in 1988.
- Everything is original except the radio. My brother installed a new radio at some point with a subwoofer in the trunk. To be honest I'm not a fan. Again otherwise the car is all-original and unmolested.
- As far as I know, and I'm pretty sure I would have heard, the car has never been in an accident. There was some paint work on the rear bumper in 86 or 87 when my brother backed into the car in the driveway but that is it.
- Passenger side window motor is not engaging when you activate theswitch.Doesn't appear to be a fuse.
- Remote power trunk release works but not always.
- A/C did work last summer after a recharge. Seems like it needs another recharge. As n
- Speedo drops to zero every oncein a while but recovers within seconds.
- As noted early the ABS light comes on periodically then goes off.
