Car description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this desirable 1989 911 G-50 Coupe. This car was just purchased from it's older Tennessee owner who moved there from Northern California, and was a big 911 fan. According to this car's original sales document, it was sold new in Pennsylvania. This car is still wearing it's original paintwork and is believed to have been painted a special order color, a very attractive light green metallic, as this color isn't found in the Porsche paint chips. The car is in generally great condition overall, runs and drives very well, and is believed to have been garaged for all of it's life. The body on this car is fantastically straight with great fitting and closing panels. The paintwork appears 100% original to the car. There are some usual stone chips from use, that have been carefully touched up, mainly on the front of the hood and around the wheelarchs. The paint presents very well overall. The car's 100% original interior looks very nice, only showing some wear through on the driver's LH rear seat bolster, a typical spot. Front and rear seats otherwise look fine. The dashboard is excellent, carpets are nice, headliner is great. There is some slight sag to the headliner on the sunroof panel.Mechanically, the car starts robustly on the key with good oil pressure and no noises. There is some occasional smoke on cold start up that disappears within 10-20 seconds, typical with these higher mileage Porsches. Once warmed, the car burns clean and performs very well out on the road with a great shifting transmission, strong clutch, great brakes and suspension. There is some noted play in the steering column bushing which I'm sure is a common easy fix. The period set of BBS alloys adds to the car's allure and look great with it's color scheme.Overall, a super solid and straight, great driving, desirable Carrera with fantastic lines. This special car in it's rare and original paintwork presents beautifully overall and is modestly priced for a sought after, late 80's G-50 Coupe.
