Car description |
---|
Here is a 1973 Porsche 914 with the sought after 2.0 engine. I do believe this is the factory engine and transmission. The mileage shown is 64921 and do not know if it has turned over or is the correct mileage? This car was in a metal barn with concrete floor when I picked it up. It had been parked since the 1980's.This car rolls and steers. The car does run, However, It will need some work before it is roadworthy. It will probably need a full restoration.
Some of the parts it is missing is the battery, front passenger marker light, top rear bumper cap, rain drip pan(This IS Shown in the video below, but was in very bad condition & Thrown away. It is GONE & NOT Included).I did take out the gas tank and cleaned it (many hours) But looks brand new inside! Blew out the fuel lines, cleaned the carb... It will run but the carburetor will need to be rebuilt. It does have a Missouri salvaged title it was hit on the drivers quarter panel (hence the different color and trunk). I do not see any inner structure damage from it. I did put new spark plug wires and a coil on it. All the glass looks to be in good shape. Seems like a good 2.0 car. It maybe a car that can be driven while restoring? I did notice the passenger side swing arm control is in bad shape and will need attention before driving. Floor pans look really good and both trunks look really good and solid. It does have some overspray on the weather strip here and there. The trunks were cleaned and resprayed and look good. These cars are overall are good investments and are a pleasure to work on & drive. We have to many Porsches on are table and some just need to go to a good home.
Here is a short video of it running:

Otherwise I will need payment made via Cashier's Check within 10 days unless prior arrangements are made. You will have 30 days to pick up the car, Unless prior arrangements are made.Sold as is, No warranty implied. Thank you for reading the whole description. I have done my best to describe this car to the best of my knowledge. I do not want to mislead any one. I sometimes see these cars go for some big money with little to no description and feel bad for the buyers who may not know what they are getting into.
Please see the pictures as it shows exactly what you are bidding on.Thank you again.
