Car description |
---|
Very rare sunroof coupe 912 the last of the short wheelbase. Previous owner "installed floors" as you can see in the pictures they are sturdy but not OEM or even close. Also there is a support that was installed bolted to the rear torsion bars the previous owner installed as seen in last two pictures as the mounting area is a bit rusty. Previous owner also put a thin layer of filler over pretty much the entire car because at the time he was going to repaint it although that never happened. For the most part there is solid metal under most of the filler.
There are some typical areas that will need to be repaired due to rust however i have tried to take as detailed pictures as i can of the areas i am aware of. The entire car will need to be gone over but it is mostly complete mainly missing grill for engine cover and the badges. Originally Irish Green then repainted Red.
I believe that the engine and transmission are original to the car as the engine serial number is for a 1968 however i do not have the Porsche COA to prove it. Clean PA title in my name.
At some point in time the keys got lost somewhere and car previous owner hotwired the ignition to start and drive it, but I do still have the old ignition lock. It cranks over and sounds like it has compression, however does not have spark, was told it runs without issues however not until the spark situation is figured out.
If you are a Porsche enthusiast and don't mind the body work this could be a great project for you. Please only bid if you are a serious buyer. Will send pictures upon request just let me know the area in which you would like the pictures taken and i will do my best to send them. I will be happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge however please do not ask me to end the auction early.
