CLEAN TITLE! 1963 Porsche 356 B VIN 211555
Car is being sold "AS IS WHERE IS " with no warranty, exchanges, returns or credits expressed or implied. I will work with your shipper but buyer is responsible for all transport fees, shipping costs and arrangements.
The Sunroof is not Factory- it sticks some and needs some tlc but it does lock, open and close
Doors, Hood, and Engine Lid fit Nicely but are not Numbers Matching
The ONLY VIN IS THE Factory Stamped one on the TUB/ passenger door post body area as Pictured! Real and Legal Porsche 356 titled in Oregon; It is Not a Kit Car
This Car is a Roller: it was only loosely assembled for the sale -All the Drivetrain needs to be gone through, inspected/rebuilt as needed, with any missing/damaged components replaced and torqued with the correct bolts/nuts/fasteners etc
VW SUSPENSION-nothing has been changed with the floors, closing panels etc- EVERYTHING ELSE IS PORSCHE-SEE PICS or REQUEST MORE .Rear section can just be unbolted as nothing was cut or changed to mount the VW trans- it is a straight bolt-up to the 356The Front Beam looks like Porsche with 356 style side casings, but is a VW type 1 Link-Pin with lowering adjusters. The Benefit of this is for just a few hundred dollars you can get Brand New Complete Disc Brakes and suspension parts at any time! Once again, looks Porsche, but will fit a budget. Remember: Pre- A &A 356's shared VW steering boxes and MANY other parts that came on them actually stamped VW -and it was good enough for them! If one ever wanted to go back to stock, the front beam could be cut out and a Porsche one welded back in.
As pictured, the car has been almost entirely stripped down and only has All Metal on the outside and Zero Rust coating on the majority of the bottom/insides.
Metalwork is solid featuring these Stoddard replacement parts: Front and Rear Floor, Longitudinals, L&R Lower Closing Panels, Inner Perimeter, Lower X Front Beam Crossmember support. Additionally the Battery Box, Rear Seat section etc has been replaced as needed.
The only Loose Parts that come with the car are the Rear Windshield, Pedal Assembly (set inside not mounted) and 356 axle tubes to correctly orient the rear shocks rather than modifying the VW ones.
This is a Project Car as Pictured Needing a Complete Restoration- but it will put you time and dollars ahead from many of the other 356 projects out there, and being that it has a Clean Title, it is comparatively a sensible endeavor and investment that could actually be completed.
