Weekend Rides is the leader in providing used air cooled 911 parts and salvage.
Our company is for listed for sale on several venues, in pano, on biz buy sell this listing is not the used Porsche parts business for sale listing.
Weekend Rides is EB5 eligible, our massive inventory of properly stored sorted full catalogue of strictly used and only air cooled 911 parts and custom database and business are for sale but not part of this auction.
All of our used air cooled 911 parts are sorted, barcoded, and easily searched for on our site, We are open daily located just two hours from nyc and philadelphia, we are looking to retire but have zero interest in not doing what we love every day until we sell the company, buying and selling Porsches and selling used 911 parts.
This 1988 Commemorative edition targa is one of aprox 80 made.
Reposted due to non pay bidder who failed to honor his bid a few minutes after we listed the targa last week. The last guy failed to respond to our calls and emails. We received only one asking for a lower price after he bid well that’s not how it works. We conduct business professionally and expect bidders to call with any questions or just not do “buy now” and waste their time and ours unless they honor the bid. That said, here’s another chance to buy the 1988 Targa.
Diamond blue metallic is the color codeG50 3.2 engineCorrect 15 inch painted FuchsCorrect Ferry Porsche signature seatsInsurance company loss due to water flood,We changed the oil as a precaution and inspected the dmeWe know ZERO about it’s history or reason the Insurance company said it was a flood loss.We found no noticeable corrosion on its dme harness nor dme, and it started right up.The targa top is fine but missing it’s latchesSome rust on bottom of each door jambBoth front seats are heavily worn and fadedDash pad has several cracksSteering wheel is missing the horn pad and has cracksNo books no tools no jack no recordsSomeone stole the glove box door and clock and sun visorsWe drove it a few miles last week and it shifted and drove okMuffler and exhaust are loud and need repairsRight front fender has been replaced sometime in its life, poor repair with rust hole on bottom and deep sanding scratches are apparent.Inside trunk we couldn’t find any evidence of any accidents the battery area we did not take battery out to look for rust so presume it needs some work.
We cleaned underneath it and all of the factory seams and look very good.
Engine looks pretty dry.
Each corner looks to be original with no crashesAt Weekend Rides we have a Celette equipped shop with all 911 fixtures, muf bench a sevene and muf jigsWe have three Celette benches we use daily and rent out Celette benches and know prior accidents!
Below is what we can see and disclose about the Targa, it is a guideline and should be used as such. With any project there are unknowns and we may not see nor know everything about every Porsche we have.
This is a project Porsche that needs love with good bones.
