Relisted due to someone hitting the buy it now inadvertantly and Ebay holding me up for several days to relist.
Hey guys & gals - up for sale is my 1984 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. I bought this car back in February of 2016 at the Mecum Auto Auction down in Kissimmee Fl. I purchased the vehicle for several reasons and most of those reasons were affordability & looks. In addition to the bodywork and paint work this 911 has also had a professional engine replacement that is documented back in 2012. It also appears to have upgraded Porsche sport seats, a very nice custom sound system with subwoofer in place of the rear seats and a farily new (2013 & documented) convertible top. It has a custom suspension and is absolutely a blast to drive. This car does have chips, minor scratches but by and large the paint is very clean. The body lines are very good - in picture 4 it shows that the door is not fully closed not that the door protrudes out past its normal body contour. I have been a PCA member since purchasing my first 911 (1980 Targa Euro) over 10 years ago and I understand that this is very far from a purist example of a classic air cooled 911 but is just as fun to drive and will corner with just about anything out there. This car has been garaged and taken good care of since i have owend it. There are a lot of receipts from the previous owner and myself but there doesn't appear to be a lot of receipts from early on in the cars history or the modifications. From decoding the vin # i feel confident that this car is an original cabriolet. Here is some narrative that came along with the car prior to purchase :
"This is a totally rust free southern Porsche that spent most of its life in Arizona. It has also been very well serviced and pampered its whole life. It has an awesome looking upgraded Turbo wide body kit on the car that was professionally done. This is a true cabriolet from the factory. The car runs and drives great with its 3.2L 6-cylinder engine and 5-speed transmission. It is beautiful gold metallic which is the cars original color with an all black leather interior that looks very rich. It has a full custom CD sound system. This is a very unique color combination that looks great on this Porsche. It has been fully restored."
Just to get a few things out of the way to help those who have questions
Has it had custom body work? - Yes
Has it had paint work? - Yes
Is the spoiler OEM? - No
Has it been in an accident? - Not to my knowledge
I did not do any of the turbo look modifications or lowering of the vehicle so I sincerely can't help much in the way of specifically knowing what components were used. I can tell you that the car drives excellent and handles the way that cars of this vintage should. The reason for selling is that i recently came across a deal on a 2012 991 Carerra S that I simply couldn't pass up. I am a Porsche enthusiast and respect the fact that there are those in the Porsche community that will simply shred the premise of most of these modifications. Please don't heckle me, i bought it like this and have enjoyed it immensely; I get it, this car is for someone who wants a modified 911 for reasonable money. It's a very nice example of a modified air cooled 911. For those reasons I am posting a classified ad - I will not sell this car sight unseen regardless of the offer because i want the new buyer of this car to see it, touch it, feel it and love it. I have already paid for the carfax so please just ask me for it and i will send it over - according to the carfax the body had 237,000 miles on it around the time of the modifications because the next record indicates 67,318. Again i have no documentation of the major body modifications. If your interested shoot me a text or call. Thanks for looking - six 0 six, seven seven 6, two nine zero 0.
