Car description |
---|
1986 944 with a Stage 2 Speed Force Racing surcharger kit. Fuel is controlled by a Vitesse MAF piggyback system. Pistons were swapped with 951 turbo pistons to lower compression. It's currently running 8 psi, but could take another 4 lbs safely. Dyno sheet says 246 HP currently.
I just did a timing belt, all front seals and sleeves, 4 new tires, alignment, and some interior bits.
Mechanically the car needs nothing. Clutch was replaced when the engine was rebuilt, but a stock clutch was used and it has trouble keeping up if you dump the clutch off of the line.
All the electronics on the car work except for the clock.
Paint is peeling on the hood and the front fenders are faded. No major damage, but there are some smaller dents.
Interior is all there, but previous owner started swapping interior from linen to black. The remaining pieces needed to complete the swap are included.
Huge binder of service records included.
I've been daily driving the car for a month, and can tell you that this car is fun as hell to drive. It's fast, light, and handles incredible. Would make somebody a great starting point for a kick ass build.
