Car description

Up for sale is a Porsche 959/356 tribute. These were built as a mesh between the two, and the kits were called the 359.

Please ask any questions before making an offer. I tried to be as detailed as I could be. I am happy to take any additional photos/videos that you would like.

YouTube video of walk around and driving from July 2018: https://youtu.be/fTIEoZOiHr0

It is professionally built on a 1971 VW chassis. It is clean inside, outside, and underneath. This is not a car that was thrown together in someone's garage. It is a very nicely built car.

I would give the exterior a 9/10 and the interior an 8/10 due to some fading on the seats. The paint is in excellent condition. The only reason I give it a 9 instead of a 10 is because there is a blemish on the driver's side near the wing, and couple scuffs on the front end that should buff off.

Headlights, turn signals, brake lights, reverse light all work. The only gauge working at the moment is the speedometer.

The engine is a 2180cc and runs good. Dual Dellorto DRLA 40 carbs. External oil cooler and oil filter. I am selling this car for my dad. It had been sitting for about a year and a half due to a clutch issue. He finally had it towed to my house, and I replaced the clutch, pressure plate, and throw-outbearing with a new Sachs kit and got it back to running. It had old gas in in which I drained and cleaned out the lines. While it is running good, it wouldn'thurt to give it a full tune up with adjusting the valves, replacing points, plugs, etc. When driving, there is a rattling sound coming from the rear during a hard acceleration. Haven't looked into what the noise is.

4 speed manual transmission shifts excellent and doesn't pop out of any gears. Disk brakes up front.

I saw another of these sell for $16,600 a few months ago. Looking at the pictures of it, I feel that this one is nicer, and this one has a larger engine.

It is registered/tagged as a 1971 Volkswagen 959. It will be sold with a Georgia bill of sale and no title. If you are in a state that requires a title, most states accept a Georgia bill of sale and registration in order to issue a title since Georgia doesn't require a title on older vehicles. I have sold to a couple of title states with just a bill of sale.

Open to offers. Also open to trade for something of equal value. Trades would need to come to me. I am also willing to sell the car and keep the engine to lower the price some if you have and engine you would like to put in it.

I am happy to help arrange shipping as long as you pay for it. I have a company that I can recommend that I have used before. I am available for pick up after 4:30 most weekdays and pretty open on weekends.

Non refundable $500 deposit required though PayPal within 24 hours. The remaining balance must be paid via wire transfer or cash in person. The car will not leave my possession until funds are cleared. I will NOT accept PayPal for the full balance.
