Hello you are bidding on a 1988 Porsche 911 Carerra. This vehicle was purchased in 1999 and has been with us since then. We purchased the 911 with 135k on on it and have put around5,000 miles on it in the last 18 years. We used this 911 three or 4 four times a year at a local Porsche club DE (drivers Ed) and the Sandhills open road race in Arnold NE (in the 90mph class). Over the years we have added many items to the vehicle listed below.
3.2 ltr with a G50 Transmission
Auto Power roll cage with drivers back brace (the lower door bars have been removed to fit my old grandfather)
2 Sparco Pro 2000 Seats
2 Impact pull-up 5 pt harnesses
On board fire system (fuel, driver, engine)
Removable steering wheel
7x16 front and 8x16 rear fuchs (one cap is missing. I know its in the garage somewhere)
Bilstien Struts and shocks
21mm front and 29mm solid torsion bars
Smart products sway bar - front and rear
Poly graphite bushings all around
Turbo tie rod ends
Stainless steel brake lines
Bump steer kits, bearing inner banana arms
Intake pipe
No Cat Exhaust
Nolology wires
Less than 500 miles on valve guides
Less than 500 miles on KDW (BFG) tires
Remote air pressure sensors in tires
We purchased the vehicle with the paint job already performed. It is a DuPont Chromalusion (pure fire prism) #KK720FX. The color changes from Purple to Gold and many colors along the way. The paint was done professionally at a local body shop. The door jams were not painted so it may be put back to its original color. I believe it's a dark gray. I took a pic of the door jam to show the original color. I took pictures in different parts of the shade to try and get all the colors.
The car still has the A/C compressor. It does need a charge and still has R12 in the system. Power windows work great and the heater works as well. All items on the car are in great condition. There are sections of carpet missing (drivers floor mat, rear section in back seat).
The roll cage has been bolted in so it can be removed easily. The car has been on a battery maintainer and started every couple weeks and drove around the block. We have not taken it out to an event in 3 years so we have decided to sell it.
It does come with a factory oil drip from the valve covers (about 1 to 2 drips a day) very minor leak. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere in the United States.
There are some small paint chips on the very front of the bumper and on the mirror caps. There is a 3 inch dent in the passenger door and a small piece of clear coat coming off at the bottom of the same door (I have included pics)
There is no rust on the vehicle (even around the battery box) it has always been garaged and hauled in an enclosed trailer to events.
Please feel free to email me with any questions. I also have a video of it running anddriving if you would like I can email that to you. I will reply ASAP. This is a NO RESERVE auction so high bidder will win it. It has been a really fun car for us but its sad to see it just sitting there. I am hoping for a good new home for her.
Thanks and have a great day!
I HAVE A TON OF PICTURE SO LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ANYTHING SPECIFIC
The original paint code is 40D 9 3 on the sticker and the color was Espressobraun Metalic
