1961PORSCHE 356 B T-5 COUPE. CHROME WHEELS. COMPLETE CAR FOR IMPROVEMENT.

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this Porsche B Coupe. This car was recently purchased out of the barn from it's long time New York resident who had plans to improve it but never found the time. Last registration shows as May, 2001. This car is currently fitted with an earlier "A" normal engine that turns nicely by hand. The original color up under the dashboard appears to be silver or a light gray, which would be a stunning color coupled to a red interior...The body on this car is average with some exterior rust spots in various places pictured, with some previous rust repair carried out. The panels open and shut OK but the driver's door lower hinge has broken loose. Underside, the car has had several repairs and would now benefit at this time in it's life from a proper restoration. There are two quality floor panels that were purchased by the previous owner to help aid in this.The car's interior appears very complete and in very decent overall condition, although not in the correct materials. Carpets are a bit shaggy and could use replacing. All of the glasswork appears original along with a decent condition replaced front windshield. The steering wheel fitted is from some later car. The gauges look nice.The engine currently fitted is an A engine dated from mid 1956. It turns nicely and smoothly by hand and may run with a little bit of work/time invested.Overall, a complete and together B Coupe that could be made to run and drive in the short term, but is essentially a candidate for a full restoration.
