Car description |
---|
Up for sale is a running and driving 1983 Porsche 928S automatic. Body has 350,000 miles, engine has 130,000 miles, and transmission has 30,000 miles. Car revs strong and transmission shifts smooth. Ride is ok and brakes are a little weak (but may just be the 1980s braking design I don't drive old cars very often). I have not taken the car on the highway but have driven it around town and does not overheat.
Good:Engine bought from salvage yard, compression tested 130+psi on all cylinders. Replaced timing belt, water pump, front and rear main seals, inspected tensioner, replaced oil pressure sender. Car runs and drives, no smoke.New solid rubber 928Motorsports engine mountsNew fuel pumpNew fuel filterNew fuel hosesNew batteryNew distributor cap, rotor, and coilNew beltsNew coolant hosesNew Falken Azenis RT615K+ 225/50R16 tiresAll new fluids and engine oil and air filtersCatback dual exhaust (stock exhaust included as well if desired)'85/'86 tubular headers (stock manifolds included as well if desired)Rebuilt brake calipersRefurbished brake master cylinderWeltmeister springs and Koni shocksWheels 16x7 fronts 16x8 rears with aluminum lug nutsPop ups work, power windows work
The Bads:Injectors stick if car sits. Sent them out to Witchhunter and they "refurbished" them but still stick when car sits.Body damage on drivers side as seen in pictures.Paint is poor shape.Interior needs work.A few small leaksPower steering hose needs replacedHatch leaks a littleAC compressor not wired up
Will include car cover, stock exhaust and manifolds if desired, and will include a transmission pan seal and filter. Got plenty of miscellaneous parts (pistons, heads, etc) that I will consider throwing in if the selling price is right.
All in all the car needs cosmetic work inside and out and just a few mechanical items to make it a good car. Title free and clear.
