During the 1960 production year, the 1960 Porsche 356B Roadster would replace the Convertible D model that had been introduced in late 1958. Essentially the same car, the 356B Roadster was updated to meet all the new 356B specifications. It is estimated that approximately 1,529 of the 1961 Porsche 356B Roadster models were released. In the years that would follow, buyers would turn their sights to the Coupe models and the open-air appeal of the Cabriolet and Roadster models would diminish. The 1961 production year would be the last for the Roadster model and moving forward only the Coupe and Cabriolet models would be available. Because of this, the early Roadster and Speedster models are highly desired in today's classic Porsche market.

This 1961 Roadster chassis # 88430 is a great example in Red with Tan interior. Believed to be a two owner car this Roadster has been family owned for 25 years, in 2003 the title was passed over from the husband to his wife whom the car is currently titled under.
