1974 Porsche 914, California Porsche! Runs great, needs tlc, drive while you fix

A man sold us this car because he had no use for it. He was working on a farm rebuild and was done with the Porsche. He had put it on the back burner and left it at a vacation home. Every few months he would start the 914 and take it around the block. He knew the car inside and out. The man was quite a good mechanic and showed me pics of corvettes and mustangs and a lotus he had. This little car had been at his neighbors for 10 years before he got it. His neighbor was an airline pilot who loved the great handling of the little car. This Porsche has been thru a lot and still is quite original. The previous owners had kept it up but now I think a re-do would be a great idea. It runs very well. The shifter bushing needs to be replaced as it is a little tricky finding gears. There is a fuel leak that I will attend to. The tires are shot from sitting in the hot sun. There has been an electronic ignition added to the distributor. The ignition switch should be replaced. When he was showing me the car he pulled a wire off the coil to shut it down! It does run well. with no smoking or knocking. If you like the car please let us know.
