Car description

1976 911S coupe ALGAE-FIND, SHOW CAR

This is a 1976 911S coupe ALGAE-FIND, SHOW CAR. In the most ridiculous of cases would someone call this a “Showcar”, but I am- because I realized when this car was discovered that the amount of years for the coral reef, centimeter thick algae & moss to build up on the skin of the car could not be replicated overnight. I thought to myself I could easily get a pressure washer and the car would clean up nicely, but that would very unfortunate to take away what has been building up for over 20 years. Sad, I know.

Without further ado, here it is- an original 1976 911S coupe, #s matching, ALGEA FIND. The previous owner owned the car since 1993. The car was born originally Peru red, and he changed it to white. He drove the car frequently until he finally decided to park it in 1997 because he bought a brand new Porsche Boxster, which he still drives today! He parked it in his driveway in a leaking carport where a massive tree stood on top. Over the car, the tree dripped onto the skin of the car and thereby creating years & years of moss, algea and some parts which I can almost guarantee is a close specimen to Coral Reef! He did tell me that he drove the car 4 years ago, but that is very questionable in my book. There is even an un-opened Newspaper still in the plastic bag, dated October 26, 1997 that was found in the car. It has the original #s matching engine and he did have it fully rebuilt 30k miles ago with new heads, 11 blade fan, piston rings, valves, Carrera chain tensioners, etc- if that information really matters since the engine would most likely have to be fully gone through anyways. The car was ordered new with desirable options- optional chrome window trim, rear pop-out windows, Fuchs wheels, chrome wheel arch trim, front chin spoiler, and dealer installed A/C. I also have a box of parts that includes the original Blaupunkt radio, door panel, door pull, and other interior tidbits. The car also comes with a folder of receipts/paperwork. The car is also accompanied with the original jac, spare, front trunk carpet, and floor mats. One of the best parts about this car is that Structurally it is very sound, with very minimal rust! There’s not even a spot of rust in the door jambs where these cars are notorious for rusting. The floors are solid. The original undercoating is all present and looks amazingly good. Thanks to Porsche’s fully galvanized bodies starting in 1976! All the panels of the car seem to be original and intact, no modifications. An unmodified, narrow body non-sunroof coupe is not so easy to come by these days.

I left the car exactly as it was found and if I had a choice I would love to hear next owner of this car to get it mechanically in order and bring it Porsche shows just like this. Parked next to a new 991 Turbo S, I promise you 9 times out of 10 lookers will swarm around this car. How cool to see this car parked on the grass of Werks Reunion in Monterey, California, Techno Classica Essen in Germany, or the annual PCA Parade. A Porsche friend of mine even suggested that the Dallas Aquarium should buy it for display purposes. Or even perhaps display it in a nice showroom of a Porsche Classic center. All so ridiculous, but so true. All in all, the car is all original that has algae on the skin but the body is surprisingly great and the interior and engine is all there. A true show-car!

I have a free and clear title, please feel free to ask any questions you have!
