History: This car was originally sold to Colorado and it remained there for many years before moving to Montana. From what I can tell from the records there has been 3 owners of the car. I am including all of the documentation I have with this car. This car has some very rare options listed on the COA and Kardex and they are still intact on the car.
Exterior: This car is beautiful. It shows no signs of any accidents, collisions etc. It is a solid rust free example that has had a repaint of its original Signal Red. The paint job was very nicely done and all of the glass, trim, chrome etc was taken out when the car was painted. The paint job was done about 20 years ago. All of the doors, deck lid and hood open and close properly and smoothly. The front hood does have a small "kink" from a previous owner. I have taken many pictures of that area.It has its original VIN stamped hood. This car still has its original luggage rack that was a factory option according to the COA/Kardex. This car shows very nicely and I would consider this a very nice driver's quality car.
Interior: This car still has its original carpets, seats, gauges, etc. The carpet is showing wear on the driver side. All of the gauges, lights, horn, blinkers work except the clock. The speedometer trip gauge does not work. The previous owner has lost the dash glove box lock and dash handle.
Engine/Transmission: This car still retains its original numbers matching engine and transmission. This engine and transmission has been recently rebuilt and I have the service receipts. This car starts right up and drives fantastic. It is a very smooth well sorted 356sc. The original numbers matching transmission has the very rare option of a limited slip differential. At one time this car had an external oil cooler and the cooler/lines are still present if the new owner wants to hook it back up. The mechanics on this 356 are in excellent shape and the car drives wonderfully.
Wheels/Suspension: This car is fitted with chrome 1965 and 1964 wheels. The wheels and hubcaps are not perfect. The tires are in very nice shape. The car rides very nicely with its suspension and handles very well.
This is a very nice original late 1965 356sc with special factory options. Please let me know if you have any questions, would like me to take more pictures etc.
