Car description

Selling a 1985 Porsche 911 Targa that I have owned for roughly 5 years, however, I have been around this car for close to 13 years while owned by my friend. I purchased the vehicle from a good friend who is a Porsche fanatic. We ran a Carfax and confirmed that this 911 is originally from Germany and then lived the last 20 or so years in the Midwest. This 911 would be labeled as a great "driver" that will fire up every time to run around for errands and car shows, this car has been nothing but reliable. The mileage is listed at 177,945, however, the odometer stopped working summer of 2016. The car is used only in the warm months (no salt!) and an estimated 1,000 miles have been added to the listed total.
The following accessories were added to the vehicle:
1. "Whale Tail" rear deck lid2. 16" Gold mesh original BBS wheels (do not have original wheels)3. Aftermarket head unit radio and upgraded speakers4. Front strut bar for suspension5. Fitted Car cover
We have recently added and installed the following:
1. Driver and passenger seats were restored with Porsche leather, 20142. New Floor mats, 20143. High Performance all season General Tires, 20154. Engine tune up, gasket replacements 2014
As noted, this is a great "driver" quality car that is very reliable. The following are a few flaws:
1. Front grill is aftermarket and could be updated, few rock chips2. The A/C is disconnected when we purchased the vehicle, all components still in engine bay3. Faded trim in areas4. Passenger door handle does not work and will need replacement, recently broken the external part when opening the door
Throughout my ownership I have taken this 911 to anything from car shows to road trips and has been very reliable. We have enjoyed our ownership but it is time to move on to the next one!
