PORSCHE 1971 914-4 CONVERSION PROJECT TO 914-6
I didn't lose interest, I just ran out of time. My plan was to convert this rust free 1971 914-4 into a 914-6.Knowledgeable people recommend a conversion candidate be rust free and this one is.Included with the rust free chassis are the following:1. Porsche 1971 engine case #6114465 with oil squirters, case savers, case bolts and head studs. The case has been opened up to accomodate 2.7L cylinders,2. Porsche 1970 2.0L non counterweighted crankshaft fresh from the machine shop. STD/STD, micro polished, cross drilled, and oil line plugs r&r. Armando of CCR says this crankshaft is good to 7200 rpm,3. Weber 40IDA carbuerators, inspected as in excellent condition with velocity stacks, K & N air filters and rain hats,4.One set (six) heads for 2.7L engine, all dated 1974,5. Set of 2.7L Alusil cylinders which I had planned to be converted to Nikasil by Millenium Technology,6. One set(five wheels) Fuch 5.5J x 14 wheels,7. Complete numbers matching 1.7L 914-4 engine with Weber 34 carbs (less heat exchangers and muffler), and8. Numbers matching 901 five speed tail shifting transmission.
This 914 is very solid. The engine parts will combine to make a high rev, quick acceleration 2.5L engine. Yes,several pieces are missing but this is a great start for a reasonable price.Free local pickup. Deposit in person or by Paypal. Sorry, no international shipping.Any questions, please contact me at 512-635-5832. Thank you.
