------ ++++++ =====
Hello and thanks for checking out my vehicle for sale today. My name is Steven N., age 34, I live in Orange County, California and am regretfully having to sell my beautiful classic 1989 Porsche 944 due to financing needed for an upcoming move (to a living situation where I won't have a garage/place to park a 3rd car, unfortunately).
I bought this beauty from a dealership in Florida (for roughly $15k via an Ebay listing, as well) over a year ago, had it enclosed shipped here and have been enjoying it thoroughly all year, having put no more than a few thousand miles on it total. I am not certain of how many owners this Porsche has had prior (Carfax doesn't date back to '89), but I can say with certainty that a prior owner really shelled out some cash on its many professionally performed upgrades (such as a very top-notch paint job, newer model OEM Porsche rims {19" silver staggered alloy from years 2005-2013 911s worth thousands of dollars alone), better brakes calipers, Flowmaster exhaust, etc.) and saw the car as a labor of love, which I have had the pleasure of enjoying during my ownership of it.
The car is in TRULY GREAT shape. I have had two of these 944s in the past and this one is just worlds apart and somehow just feels, looks, smells, and drives like a new car.. stunning, showroom condition overall, and honestly car-show worthy... a real head-turner and one of the coolest cars I've ever owned in my life. I really wish I could keep it forever, and retire driving it someday. It's fun, stick-shift, punchy/sporty, and top-class late 80's luxury inside and out. Considerably low miles for its year/age, too.
There is a low reserve price on this auction! I'm not trying to rip anyone off or 'flip' anything here.. I'd simply like to sell it for close to what I paid for it so recently; and for what I know it's worth to an appreciative buyer who can enjoy this 944 like I was planning on continuing to do so. I have kept it up, paid several grand in as-needed repairs to keep it in its "daily driver" shape (via a trusted mechanic with a German Auto Repair shop in Fullerton, CA), exercised it by driving it weekly or more, and am confident in its stature as a beautiful "9.5/10" example of its rare and sporty kind. Please do NOTE: The A/C (air conditioning) doesn't work, which was the next thing on my to-do list that I haven't got around to. As a perfectionist, it bothers me that the car is so 99% perfect and that ONE drawback is a stick in the mud at all, and I would hope it wouldn't deter any interest from prospective buyers. My repair tech mentioned it shouldn't be a very expensive job to get it blowing icy cool again.. could just simply need a recharge of Freon or whatnot.
Either way, HAPPY BIDDING+! Please feel free to correspond with me regarding any other questions you may have.. or if you'd like to request more info of any kind, more pictures, etc. Thanks again for your interest+!
========= Regarding SHIPPING / PICK-UP: Upon closing of the auction/bidding, to the winning bidder/buyer, after receiving payment-in-full, I will gladly cooperate with any help needed to make arrangements to either have the vehicle shipped or driven to buyer (if anywhere within a few hundred miles of Orange County, CA). It is available for local pickup as well. There will be up-to a 10-day processing period after I receive payment (check, cashier's check, cash, paypal) due to needing to send a few grand off to my credit union to have the pink slip/title overnighted to me in CA (it may not take the full 10-days but I felt a grace period necessary), so that all documents can be included with the car, obviously, and so that the car can be fully yours upon completion of the transaction.. all paperwork transferred (given in-person or mailed/sent) legally and properly according to all laws, etc.
