This 1986 911 Carrera is flat out gorgeous both inside and out! The very rare color (Prussian blue). along with the fully polished Fuchs alloy wheels. really sets it apart from all the other Carreras on the market. To top it off. it comes loaded from the factory with an electric sunroof. super rare factory electric sport seats. AC (does not blow cold). headlight squirters. plush trunk carpet. driving lights. fully polished Fuchs alloy wheels. full leather interior – including the hand stitched dashboard. 5-speed transmission. complete tool kit. air compressor. and Porsche specific car cover. In addition. I have all the books. manuals. and service records totaling over $16. 00 in receipts which include a full transmission rebuild and new clutch done less than 20K miles ago ($4. 00). a full suspension overhaul including new Koni shocks about 15K miles ago ($4. 00). and a full service 9K miles ago ($1. 00). 10K miles ago the front and rear brakes had 75% left on them and the oil was changed about 1. 00 miles ago. The tires are in excellent condition. The record file dates back to 2001 up to the present. Because the engine is so strong. it doesn’t smoke and doesn’t leak or burn oil; I would imagine that this car has had a valve job. But I do not have a receipt to substantiate it. There is zero rust and it has never had any! The original Bay Area owner drove this Porsche from October 18. 1985 to 2003. The second owner had it up until 2009 when the third owner here in Sonora. CA purchased it. Over the next five years he would drive it a total of 9. 00 trouble free miles. Exterior: The exterior of this 911 looks absolutely beautiful. It could very well be the original paint. but I’m not sure. If not. it’s definitely a high-quality. everything off. windows out repaint from several years ago I would guess. The body condition is virtually flawless with perfect door and hood gaps and is arrow straight down the sides with no signs of previous damage. The front bumper and spoiler have been peppered with tiny rock chips over the past 30 years. hence the bra to cover them up. The front hood and the rest of the paint are in excellent condition. For a Porsche of this vintage. the body and paint don’t get much better! By the way. the Prussian blue color looks more blue in person than the pictures depict. Interior: Awesome! The full leather interior is all original and in great shape. Because it was garaged and has had tinted windows. the leather is still super supple. The dash is outstanding other than a small indentation on the passenger side caused by what. I don’t know. Aside from that. it’s in pretty much pristine condition. including the factory stitching. There is zero discoloration. The leather sport seats are nearly perfect as well. other than some very minimal wear on the side bolster of the driver’s seat. which is unavoidable with the sport seats. Once again. very minor. especially considering its age. The rear seats. rear deck lid area. door panels. etc. . are all in excellent original condition. Mechanicals: My 1986 911 runs and drives like new! It shifts perfectly because the transmission and clutch were rebuilt/replaced about 20K miles ago at the cost of $4. 00. It handles like new because it had the suspension gone through about 15K miles ago to the tune of $4. 00. It runs like new because it has been properly maintained and pampered through the years and recently (less than 10K miles ago) was fully tuned up and serviced ($1. 00). It also just had the oil changed less than 1. 00 miles ago. Once again. I have the receipts for everything which are included with the sale of the car. To the best of my knowledge. this Porsche needs nothing to make it a better car mechanically. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it cross country tomorrow (weather permitting of course!) It’s what I would describe as a “good vibe” car. It simply fires up perfectly every time and never misses a beat. Just a really fun and reliable sports car experience while getting over 25mpg on the freeway at 70mph! By the way. all the lights. blinkers. horn. etc. work. Even the clock keeps great time! Serious bidders/buyers please note that I have set my reserve price at several thousand dollars below what would be considered today’s fair market value for this wonderful 911 Porsche. My 24 year old son is soon going in for an expensive back procedure and being stem-cell/bone marrow based. it is not covered by my insurance company so I must pay for it in full. I do not have the luxury of time on my side before he goes in for this procedure. so my hope is that by setting a low reserve price. that at least it will get sold and we can move on to my son’s well-being. Hopefully. it will sell well above the reserve that has been set. If you are serious about purchasing my car. then please contact me to view it. I am retired and can show it pretty much at your convenience during the auction time frame. I live 2 1/2 hours from the Sacramento airport and the San Francisco airport. If you cannot view it before the end of the auction and are uncomfortable with paying for it before seeing it in person. then please do not bid on it. Payment in full is expected within 72 hours of the end of the auction – no exceptions. Suitable payment may be made by cashier’s check. or a wire transfer to my bank which is Wells Fargo. Once the funds have cleared with my bank. you or your transport company are welcome to pick the car up. I have the clear/clean California title in my name in hand. I have tried my best to describe my Porsche as honestly as possible. but I’m sure I’ve forgotten some details (I’m 60 years old!). so please feel free to call me directly about anything else that may matter to you or may make a difference as to whether you are interested in actually purchasing my car or not. My phone number is 916-220-2460. I will not be checking emails. but I always have my phone with me. While I feel that this Porsche is in beautiful. original condition inside and out. runs and drives great. etc. . it is not without flaws. It is a very well cared for. 30-year old car that is. of course. being sold in AS IS condition with no warranty. I am a private party. not a car dealer. Having said this. as long as you have realistic expectations about a car of this vintage. then I not only think that you won’t be disappointed with your new purchase. you’ll actually be very pleased and proud to call it your own. P. S. In the spirit of full disclosure……. I literally just got back from my 20 minute “good-bye” drive with the sunroof open and windows down as always (its 62 degrees and not a cloud in the sky today here in California where I live) and boy. am I going to miss this weekend fun car! When I pulled into the garage. I proceeded to button-up everything for the new owner and while the sunroof has always functioned perfectly. this time it closed very slowly and I have absolutely no idea why. So at this point. so as not to take the chance of making it worse. I will simply leave it in the closed position. It is probably something minor because like I said. it’s always worked great. but I just wanted to disclose this fact in fairness to any prospective buyer(s). Thanks and good luck!
