Car description |
---|
1984 Porsche 911 Cabriolet with only 106k miles. A true and beautiful driver! Owned, garaged and maintained by me for the last 20 years.
This great looking 3.2-liter Cabriolet comes in a very appealing Platinum with Brown Leather Interior. Car came with "rare" Porsche installed storage compartment behind front seats rather than the small seats.
Included are Receipts, Books, Manuals, 2 keys, Tonneau Cover, Tools, Spare and a Jack.
Both the exterior and interior are in a superb condition, and the car looks beautiful on the road! Mechanically, the car is very solid. The 3.2-litre engine has great output and pulls strong like a Porsche motor should. The 915 gearbox does not miss a beat and the synchros in every gear feel good. The clutch engages properly and does not stick. The car handles excellent, and the brakes stop straight and true. The Fuchs wheels are in great condition, and tires are about 30% used on front and 50% on back. I have owned this car since 1999 and have maintained and garaged during that time. I recently replaced all oil lines to and from oil cooler, battery, seals on oil return tubes, spark plugs, adjusted valve lash, cleaned all injectors, replaced gas shocks on front and engine hood and replaced high beam/turn signal switch. I replaced clutch at about 80k. I replaced top and tonneau cover about 2004 and used all new roof seals and OEM material. Also installed new stereo that is hands-free, pandora and apple compatible.
The car had a repaint before I purchased and I would say it was a 9 out of 10. Looks very good close-up.
It was in a small accident on the right front fender before I purchased. Repair was professional and the last few pictures in the area reveal that the only part replaced was the 4 x 6 inch metal lower fender part behind the rubber coil bumper piece. As you can see in the photo the small piece doesn't have undercoating texture, whereas the fender and all other parts on this car have the original undercoating. I also removed oil cooler and you should be able see the right fender is original and perfect. This is very minor and it did not discourage me from buying this car 20 years ago.
If you would like to talk or have the car preinspected, please call me at (505) 592-7330. My name is Kevin.
