Car description |
---|
I never wanted to sell this but what a story, purchased from the original owner, this car was used for work in the 60's from a businessman who let his son use this as his first car in high school here in Orange County. The son toured in a rock band and hated that he couldn't fit his full stack amp in the car, so he didn't drive it much and used the bands' van. The porsche sat in the garage from 1978, that is the last year it was registered. The businessman was sad that it just sat there and he saw a Rod Emory outlaw at a car show and was motivated to turn his car into an outlaw. The businessman had the car worked on by his friend who owned a classic car restoration shop in the Orange Circle. They would drink beers, crank tunes, and work on the porsche. The businessman died last summer and the kid that toured in the band decided it would be best to sell the car and pay for funeral costs, so I purchased the car. I wanted to finish the project, but am looking to sell some cars to buy a house that just hit the market. I am looking for a cash buyer that is ready to pay as I have a clean california title in my name ready to sell.
Made in West Germany, Delivered to the port of New Jersey on 8/3/61 and sold in California 9/15/61, it was slate gray. 1600N 60hp.
Body is solid, the floors are very nice top and bottom, original protective coat is still covering the floor underneath.
Very straight and rare california porsche for sale, engine not included, it was blown in 1978, which is why it was parked indoor inside a garage since then.
This sale includes all the original parts, which have been labeled and disassembled, really nice original seats with no tears or rips, all gauges are included, all the expensive parts are there.
The highest bidder or first person with cash ready to go, takes the porsche home. I have this listed locally for sale, so it could sell before the auction ends.
