1982 Porsche 911 Convertible with 114k miles. What a blast to drive. This car spent a good portion of its life in California. This car is a great driver and recently was serviced at a Porsche dealership and also had a specialty shop replace both pressurized oil hoses (one of which was leaking as they do over time.)That was the only dripping on my garage floor was from that oil hose but has been fixed.) Over the winter here I would at least start it up every couple months and keep the battery charged. Rubber is great on the tires and just professionally installed a brand new rear window as well. Paint is in great shape with just a few tiny scratches or paint chips etc.(a 1 inch scratch behind the right rear wheel and 2 small chips in middle of hood..see pics..a few other tiny minor flaws as expected for a car of this age). Has been well cared for and although I would love to keep it, I have purchased a couple of older projects I need the space for, so its time to go. It shifts nicely and quite honestly if you were to fly in to the Salt Lake airport and want a road trip,, I would not hesitate to drive across country. These air cooled engines are very reliable and thats what makes it so nice to drive regularly. I dont have much history on the car or documentation. I bought it from an estate when the owner passed away last year but It was sure well cared for. I have enjoyed it but its time to let it go.
I have over 75 pics and a couple videos of the car running and driving that I am happy to send to anyone that inquires and lets me know where to send the link. If ebay allows I'll try and figure out how to include the link but was told they dont allow that. I happen to have a shipping business mostly in freight but have made some good connections transporting cars over the years. So I can help with shipping and arrange it etc. but will need to be paid for by the buyer. For shipping in the US I can get it to Southern California for $350-500 and to the midwest (700-800) and back East for about $900-1200. Whats crazy is I sold a Porsche last year to Europe and it was only $1400 to Denmark from Long Beach. I still have the contacts if you need a quote to Europe but its not too bad (I can get it to a port in Long Beach for $350 so for you International buyers I would be happy to help with that as well.)
There are going to be quite a few questions so feel free to ask. I am not an expert on Porsches but can try and get answers. It has a nice cover that is included that snaps over the convertible portion as it is folded down. There is a crack in the dash about in the middle. I do happen to have a dash cover if the winner wants it that makes the dash look 100%. Its not a show car but a good solid weekend driver or daily driver. If someone pays asking price I will pay half of the shipping bill (as pre-arranged) domestic and will pay the US transport portion for international shipment as well and at least get it to the port. We can work it out.
I have someone local that mentioned when these cars ship internationally its cheaper on your import taxes if the car is not a clean title. Although this car is a clean title this person is saying it can be changed to a salvage or rebuilt title (evidently you can make a clean title salvage but not a salvage title clean) I am not familiar with this but if thats important to a European or international buyer I can certainly look into it if it will save you money and can be done legally. Just a thought.
