Car description

Up for auction is a 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa. I'm listing this beautiful little Porsche for my cousin and this is what he has said about the car.

I bought this car about 17 years ago.

At the time it belonged to a friend that had owned it for several years. Since I’ve owned it, I’ve put approx. 40,000 miles on it. It now has 115,000 plus or minus miles on it. There have been only 2 mechanics work on it since I’ve owned it. I’ve done all of the maintenance but there’s never been anything done to the power train that has required wrenching. Other than oil changes nothing has been required. If I drive it often or don’t drive it for a couple of months it seems to start on nearly the same revolution every time. I’ve never revved it higher than 4500 rpm. Six months ago it was hit on the rear passenger side fender. Damage was slight and about 8”x4” and an inch deep. Not through the metal. If I didn’t disclose this most would never know it was hit. It got new tires a year or so ago and I don’t think they have 5000 miles on them. The mystery issues include:

The intermittent wipers work most o the time, the oil gauge doesn’t register properly but I check it often anyway, sometimes the window toggles stick, I’ve never figured how to work the heater but it works great. There may be something else but it’s a 30 year old car. I would not hesitate to gas and oil it and head out from Idaho to Florida tomorrow. I’m selling it because I just ordered a new 911 Turbo. I’ll get it the end of August but I’ll miss this one. If you are the lucky new owner please take good care of this car. If it doesn’t sell quickly I’ll probably talk myself into keeping it.

Again I'm listing this beautiful Porsche for my cousin and will take all questions to him. I have owned several Porsche's and have driven this car and it is tight and drive's very nice as a good Porsche should. It starts easy, shifts niceand runs strong. Condition is good, paint is nice with only small chipping on the nose.Interior shows well with no rips or worn spots. It has a newer soft top that has never been folded. It has a custom sound system withSony 10 CDdiskchanger mounted in the trunk. Original owners manuals andtools come with the car. The passenger side door threshold rubber strip is missing and will need to be replaced. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. We will help with loading on our end and in anyway we can. For your questions please call Bill (208)750-0000
