Car description |
---|
1984 Porsche 928 Euro. V8 w/Auto trans. Porsche Carrera GT Rims. 315-25-19 in rear and 235-35-19 on front. Body in good shape, interior is in normal condition for 1984 model leather. DRY and rough.
Because this car is a imported version, the VIN number would not go into the Ebay ad listing slot, in which case you have to ad 17 zeros there and put the VIN number here. I called support to ask the why and how. The VIN is: WP0ZZZ92ZDS841663. The "D" in the VIN denotes a 1983 model on VIN decoders I found online, but the title reads 1984. Don't know why this is, but it is an 1984 model car.
Motor has timing belt broken, which means valves are bent due to domed pistons in Euro models. Because of the domed pistons, these engines have a little more horsepower than the American version, 310hp total, and more torque than the American version as well. The only difference between the Euro and the American version motor is the domed pistons as far as I know. American motors have a more flat topped piston, and if a timing belt breaks, you're not bending valves.
I have a parts car with a running American 1984 motor, and another American motor taken out of a running car (during an LS1 swap) that will go with this sale, as well as a few interior parts, some glass, stock rims, among other things. So there are two options for good heads if you don't want to have the original heads serviced.
The parts car to go with this car is a running 1984 928 American version. It has a clean title as well. Water pump is bad though. Auto trans. A ton of good parts.
Pictures 1-6 are the 928 Euro car, pictures 7-11 are the parts car and picture 12 is of the extra motor.
