Car description |
---|
PORSCHE 914 1.8 L 1975, Flat-4 engine, OVC, Fuel injected, 5 speed manual, Targa convertible, w/ newer tires, clean interior, very clean front and rear compartments with original mats and floor liners. Some minor rust in trunk compartment and interior floor, and minor spots here and there on fenders. Some dents and scratches in original paint. Never been in an accident, except the drivers door hinge was sprung and replaced.Major repairs now: It needs fuel lines, and brake work or maybe rotors(?), and maybe new struts. The muffler needs replacement -- the old one has a Lifetime Warranty with Midas, and in 2012, I checked it and it is "Lifetime." Might be some issues I don't know about or have forgotten. Ask if questionable.
This 1-owner car has been in the family since we bought it in 1976. You will get all the service records with the original owners manual with cover. It is in a cargo trailer now, been mostly in storage since 2010, when it was last licensed. I have started it almost monthly since, and drove it every few months until summer 2016. I have not started it since November 2016 because it is out of gas (I did not want to store gas in the tank and let it get old.), the fuel lines are tattered and didn't want to risk failure and a fire. It has always been a restoration project I wanted to begin, but alas, there it sits. Difficult to find one as good of shape as this one. So, make me an offer please. Write with any questions. Thank you.
