Car description

The all steel slant nose, wide body, cabriolet conversion was done many, many years ago, when it was the absolute hot trend. She was born as a 1982 Targa, in guards red, with black interior. She is now slate gray, (Steve McQueen's color of choice) and is currently rolling on 18" RH 3 piece wheels (these wheels are currently selling for about $3,000.00 for a set of 4, used.) She has a RUF front valance, and an original Turbo tail. She still has her original 3.0L SC engine, which is in great running condition. She has upgraded suspension and handles incredibly well. A lot of money has been spent on this car over the years, she is truly a good one.

I took her on the Targa California rally a couple of years ago, before paint. She had no problem keeping up with any of the other cars on the trip, and ran impeccably for three days of sheer bliss throughout the winding back roads of California.

If you're old enough, she will make you want to put on your linen sport coat, put the top down, and blare the theme song to Miami Vice as blast up the coast, or out to the club! Ha ha! (Hey, I do it! There is no shame!)

Regardless, she is a great performing, everyday drivable car, that gets a lot of attention wherever she goes. Her exhaust has an incredible note and burble when you lift off of the gas. If she was a "Factory" slant nose, she would be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, with the only real way to tell the difference being the VIN.

The last picture is of a set of wide body 17" custom made Fuchs wheels that also look amazing on the car. If you would prefer them, you can ADD them to the purchase, after you buy the car for an additional $1,000.00. OR, if the car sells and the buyer chooses to keep the RH 18's on the car, you can purchase them separately, here on eBay, after this auction, as I will be putting them up for $4,000.00 as a "Buy It Now." If the car sells with the Fuchs wheels, I will list the RH wheels for $3,000.00 here on eBay as a "Buy It Now" item. The RH wheels have street tires on them, the Fuchs are off of another car (RSR Replica) and have used R6 Hoosiers on them. The tires that are mounted will come with the rims for the asking price.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, if you'd like a specific picture, or description, or just to discuss the car. I am happy to assist with dropping the car off at your shipper's address, if you are not local, as I do have a trailer. However, the funds MUST be clear and in my account, before the vehicle goes ANYWHERE.

Thanks for looking, and BIDDING! ;-)
