This is a great early short wheelbase 912. It is a wonderful driving car that is very much mechanically sound and solid. The car was recently pulled from storage and freshened up. It is now ready to be a nice weekend driver and enjoyed.

These are a pleasure to drive and cruise through mountain roads with. They offer the same feeling as the early 911s..a close connection between the car and driver. Although no records are present, the engine appears to have been rebuilt recently and is sealed up quite well. It starts up well and has decent power for what it is! The transmission is the desirable 5-speed and shifts very well. All of the shifter bushings front to back were just replaced to make selecting gears no problem at all. It handles great and steering is nice and tight. The car goes straight down the road and stops as it should. Mechanically the car is very much stock. A electric fuel pump was added for reliability although the mechanical pump is still present wand was rebuilt with new diaphragms and seals. Car will run on either. The car originally had chrome steel wheels but currently has later model Fuchs with new tires.

The interior is black vinyl/leather. It is complete and shows well but is not perfect. Once again, I would put it at a nice driver condition. The dash is not cracked or broken apart and the headliner is in excellent shape. Door panels are complete and all of the levers are fully functional. The gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge that is believed to be a bad sending unit. Interior lights and the switches for the external lights all operate correctly. The original ignition switch works however the starting position does not. An auxiliary start button has been added and is used to start the car. Overall, it is a very comfortable and complete interior!

Finished in Polo Red, the paint and body are in very decent shape for an early car. It is an older paint job that does have some imperfections. While there are no rust issues, there is some texture on the paint that can be seen on different panels. Despite this, the paint shines up well and is very presentable! All of the trim and chrome pieces are in great shape. The door frames have some signs of light pitting but nothing major. Trim around the headlights and the bumpers are in beautiful condition. The car appears to have most of its original glass all of which is very solid. All of the lights and lenses on the car are crack free and operate as they should. The car is solid underneath with no floor pan issues. A complete floor was installed on the car many years ago and it was done correctly with genuine parts. There are no signs of accident damage on the car. All of the doors, lids, and panels on the car fit well however this is not a show car. Please see all of the photos that describe the car very well.

This is a great opportunity to get into and early SWB 911/912 chassis Porsche at a good price. It is an extremely solid car that has had the majority of the hard work completed. For someone looking to have a nice driver, this is your car. It will take a little bit of work to take it to the next level but can certainly be enjoyed as is. Please see the additional photos and feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Thanks for looking
