Car description |
---|
This Porsche 550 Spyder was produced by Beck, the premier 550 Spyder replica manufacturer.
Car is in Seattle. Come see it and check it out for yourself!Finished in original dark blue with dark blue interior. Paint and leather are both in very good condition. This is the original paint, and I would not repaint the car. It does have a couple very small and almost not noticeable spiderwebs and blemishes in the paint when you get up close, but for me, and I am a totally AR Porsche guy, that just makes a great patina and I would never re-paint the car. At least not at this point!Frankly the 9/10 paint it makes the car look like its from 1956. When people holler at me and say 'Nice car what year?" tell them a 1956 and they totally buy it everytime! That is how authentic the Beck Spyder replicas are.
The car underwent a total engine rebuilt and recent mechanical refresh in 2014; the engine was fully rebuilt by a professional shop, full carburetor rebuild and engine tune up, new air filters, and more. It is ready for you to enjoy.
Vehicle looks like an original 1956 car, although it was the 125th Beck to roll off the line, as the manufacture plate states This car has the appropriate Porsche badging, original period style gauges, and wood Nardi “banjo” steering wheel. I bought this from the original owner and have it for years in my collection. The vehicle is titled in Washington as a 1956 Porsche, it is NOT titled as a “special construction” or as “Beck”.
This 550 Beck Spyder was produced by Beck, the premier 550 Spyder replica manufacturer. The waiting list for a new Beck is 6 months long, so now if your chance to own a very nice one now that will look, drive and feel pretty much the exact same!
The decals are all water based and removable!!

I have just uploaded pics of the engine and twin DeLorto Carbs. A really cool motor.

What kind of engine? It's a high performance engine made by VW.
I believe this is a 2165 CC Performance engine, rated at·185HP with twin downdraft DeLorto Carbs.
I am not a engine guy. I take my car to the mechanic. I bought the car because it was fast, fun, and beautiful. I am doing some research to confirm this size.
