1965 356C Coupe. This 356 is perfect for someone who wants an outlaw but does not want to take on a full restoration. An all but finished project with a chance to add some finishing touches if desired. This is a southern car that was never rusty and it now has all metalwork complete in primer with great fit and finish. If you are familiar with restoration work you will know that all the hard time consuming part is out of the way. Now you pick the color and finishing touches.
The mechanicals are all in place - newly rebuilt 356 engine (non-matching), rakes rebuilt and serviced, new gas tank with GT filler in the hood, tc. This car would be fun to just finish putting together and drive for a while as is. The tinted primer looks pretty good right now! Runs and drives as is but easily disassembled for final paint first if desired.
This is a two owner car that has never left the south. 43 year owner is a metal, ody, nd paint professional who was preparing this car for himself. It was stripped to bare metal, ever rusty but any metal needing to be replaced was made new, nd the only bondo on the car is skim for finishing work.
There are several options that can be substituted with the car depending on your preferences. The car is being offered as shown but there are some extra choices available: Either the sport seats shown or the original seats (which need recovering) may be selected. Shown in photos with original T-6 engine decklid - also available a fully louvered decklid (Abarth style) or a GT style with one grill and louvers. Shown with 5 ½ X 15 steel wheels. Also available are a set of 944 turbo spares and a set of original Mahle gas burners.
If you are seriously interested in the car I will be glad to discuss the possible options and additional information about the car. 910-585-1515
