Car description

914 Porsche roughly 85k miles. 1.8 fuel injection. Working odometer. Pink slip in hand.If you are familiar with the history of the 914, ou'll be aware of the many flaws the car originally had, lastic fuel lines, fuel pump location causing vapor lock etc etc. All of the original problems have been dealt with as well as many upgrades resulting in a solid, fully sorted car, eady to drive home. The body and paint work were done at a shop specializing in 914s.The fiberglass flares are bonded, with mat,to the fenders inside and out, packed with seam seal and heavily undercoated. All of the seams on the car line up straight and everything opens and closes smoothly. The fiberglass rocker covers, front and rear bumper, and front valance are expertly done. The dupont Imron Alpine White paint was applied perfectly, and I've had people walk across a gas station to compliment just the paint job. The floor of the trunk has been painted with ceramic heat paint to keep from being affected by high temps of muffler and exhaust. The front struts and brakes were sourced from an '83 911SC, hen the rotors [front and rear] were sent off for expert cross drilling. A larger 19mm master cylinder and stainless steel brake lines were installed to firm up the brake pedal, and the troublesome rear proportioning valve was replaced with a T, o longer necessary because of the greatly increased stopping power of the much larger, ented and cross drilled front brakes.21mm torsion bars replaced the stock size to stiffen up the front suspension, along with Bilstein shocks and 180lb adjustable springs to upgrade the back. Turbo tie rods and a bump steer kit round out the steering and suspension mods. The American Eagle racing Fuchs style wheels look great and although not forged, re of very high quality. The interior was completely removed, ncluding the "Dyna mat" covering of the floor. I wanted to be sure there was no rust hiding there [no rust found]. After scraping all of the covering off, he floor was painted with Por 15 [the car restorers friend] putting a rock hard rust proof finish over the bare metal. I then applied new Dyna mat soundproofing to every surface of the floor and rockers, and firewall. That was covered with a thick automotive carpet padding and new high grade custom carpet was installed, long with custom floor mats with Porsche crest finished off the carpet. The seats, oor panels, back pad and all trim were done in a buttery smooth black cowhide leather. The door panels, ith a map pocket/armrest now on both sides, re covered in a lizard textured cowhide, eminiscent of the basketweave vinyl used originally. The fiberboard backing of the door panels was replaced withCoroplas corrugated plastic, hich will never rot,sag or distort. The seat squabs or inserts, ere originally covered in hair on calfskin, ut wore out quickly and sowere recently replaced with a heavy upolstery fabric with the hair on look. The interior is finished off with a 911 style 5 gauge dash covered in the same smooth leather as the rest of the interior, nd the dash face covered in the textured leather. All the gauges work, tach, speedo, fuel, temp, ressure and clock. There is a cylinder head temp gauge in the console along with a few other VDO gauges that aren't hooked up, nd there is still an empty slot on the console face, hat is a candidate for removing or installing a subwoofer or re purposing in another way. Thanks for looking. The previous owner owned it since 1990 investing his heart and soul in it and I just don't have the time to appreciate it. I also have huge attorney fees to pay off. So looking for another Porsche enthusiast. The odometer is best guess, hen I purchased at beginning of year I was told car had about 65k, hough odometer read roughly 80k. I can get exact reading of odometer if needed. Car is currently registered in California.
