Car description

1979 Pontiac Trans Am 4 spd w/ AC

If you are looking for a Trans Am to buy as a driver or to restoreLook no further. Here is a list of reasons this is the car everyone onEbay will want (and the same reasons I hate to sell)Out of thousands of Trans Ams built in 79 only 1590 where builtwith this drivetrain - 301 V8 4v w/ a factory 4 spd.Red w/ Gold accents is probably the 2nd most popular color to own.(Black and Gold is usually #1) But in my opinion, ed is # 1This is a 1 owner car special ordered early 1979 here in Tucson atQuebedaux Pontiac (which is still in business in the same spot)The cars never been modde, aced or hot rodded. Its been adultdriven its whole life. There is zero bondo or rust on the body or floors (except surface maybe)thanks to the Az climate, eah its just how cars here survive. In the pics youll see whats left of the original paint, hich in a few placesis down to the original primer and plastic in a few areas.Original matching #s drivetrain from motor to rearend. A shade under104K original miles - AZ Box A title.Factory Options like A/C PS and more...No T Tops which is a Plus knowing the car is more solid andless chance of water damage now or down the road. Why buy a rust bucket when you can have a SOLID car like we are selling.Personally if I kept it, d detail the engine compartmentput back on the factory style exhaust tips, ake sureit was mechanically in good shape, nd redo most of theinterior and drive it as like that !! Keep it as original as possibledown to the paint. In the glove box is still the VEHICLE DELIVERY RECEIPT - EXCEPTION REPORTDated 4-5-79 . Chances are the original Broadcast sheet is still somewhereIN the car ( I may try to find it this week) which is fun to do when its 108degrees outside :)HOPE YOU LIKE PICTURES, ecause below we have about 150 to show you !Why buy from us ? Our feedback speaks for itself and we have some of the veryBEST REPRESENTED vehicles on ebay !! by that I mean we post over 100 pics ofthe vehicle. Inside, utside, nde, verywhere !! Ive yet to see anyone else onebay put up detailed pics like ours. We dont have alot of fine print blah blah.Just the important stuff buyers are looking for.VERY DESIRABLE 1979 Trans Am - stock original sheetmetalBUY 1 of our AZ vehicles and spend less timerepairing rust for weeks on end, nd keep more of the original sheetmetalmaking your project worth more in the end and spending less money in the end.Brief description:

OUR 100% feedback speaks for itself - PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR FEEDBACK !!and many of our feedback are from about 15 cars we sold just this pastyear here on EBay. We put more time and effort into our ads making it mucheasier for the potential buyers to bid with confidence.NOT MANY OF THESE trucks left with original sheetmetal still like this one.UN RESTORED SURVIVOR. Our auctions clearly show the most detail of what to expectOver any other auctions Ive seen online. Buy with confidence !!

EXTERIOR: you are looking at whats left of the original Red enamel paintfrom 1979. Az has been hard on the paint like most cars around here but itsstill beats rust holes and bubbles in places you cant see. The cars body wasimmaculate up until about a yr ago when the original owner let his son drivethe car once and he somehow dented the RR quarter panel. That was the 1and only time Jr got to drive the car. I good body person can repair the metalwith minimal bondo if someone decided to repaint the car again.Dr side door outter door handle broken as usually seen on these carsand the dr side door hinges showing some wear. Pass side it great. All the factory spoilers / flares etc there and accounted for.Hood functions properly as does the release. The factory A/C blows but not cold, ut it looks to be all there.

DRIVETRAIN: people dont buy these cars because they are fast or supercarsI find it funny when you see these cars with all the add on crap from the 80slike headers, ntakes, nd things like that. Most people who buy these cars wantsomething as close to the way it came off the showroom as possible, nd withthis car, ts about as close as you can get compared to most of the junk Ive seenout there for sale. Ive even seen so called "restored" cars with a bunch of uselessbolt on crap on their cars who want crazy money for their cars. ITS MUCH MORERARE TO FIND A SURVIVOR or RESTORED back to Factory condition Trans Am thesedays, aking this car in my opinion worth much more then others Ive seen for sale. The Motor, ransmission, earend all on this car are the ones that came withthe car when it left the factory. Factory shaker, hifter, uadrajet, missionsstuff from back in the day looks all to be intact. The car even has the factory15x7 Snowflakes (w/ gold accents) and compact spare are still on / in the car too.The car JUST PASSED ARIZONA Emissions for new tags last month !! I drove thecar home at nite in the rain and it was uneventful. But it does need wiper blades. Not sure when the last time the car was tuned up or timing checked, ut I feelthe power is down a little. Chances are with just some basic tune up stuff andtiming advanced some, t would add some grunt to the car. As it the car runsand drives fine around town or on the hwy. A little more hp couldnt hurt espif it can be done without ruining the originality of the car.The exhaust from the manifolds back look to be all original too or in greatshape, xcept for the rear muffler and tailpipes have been changed. Theyneed to be put back to factory.

INTERIOR: old, riginal showing its age alot. This is probably the most wornpart of the car from the Az sun and heat. Cracked dash of course and 90% ofthe plastic panels are just crumbling they are so brittle. Carpet is worn outin spots too. Headliner and rear pkg shelf and center console lid showing theirage. Seat upholstery not as bad as you may expect. As is, ou could drive iteveryday, ut Id restore about 70% of the major stuff first and try to saveas much of the original components as possible. Glass is all good.Old window tint should be removed soon, t would help the appearancequite a bit.

SUSPENSION: basically bone stock suspension thats been taken careover the years. Factory front disc brakes of course along with Front andRear sway bars. No clunks to report and the car actually drives down theroad fine, t drives way better then I expected. The original owner didmention he replaced some bushings over the last few yrs in the frontend. I did notice the addition of what looks like an helper leaf on therear springs, o Im sure they need replaced if you are going to do a mostlymechanical restoration on the car and probably some new shocks andmisc bushings.

Check out ALL the pics below ----->If other auctions are not showing areas under their Trans Amswho really knows what sort of shape its in. Dont find outthe hard and $$ way. At least our auctions show as muchas possible to potential buyers and bidders.

it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have aslow connection, o be patient AND looks for the extra scrollbar on the right side.Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 150 large pics.Make sure you click on SEE FULL DESCRIPTION in the Ebay ADTo view all the pictures !
