The car rolled off the assembly line during the third week of April 1977; the build date on the trim tag, quot;04C," is pictured below. All of the trim and color codes on the trim tag are also correct for the car.The market on the 1977 and 1978 Y82 Trans Ams is absolutely red hot right now and they are skyrocketing in value. There are only a handful available at any given time and they are truly one of the hottest spots in the American classic car market right now. This fact is boosted even more by the release of the new Smokey and the Bandit movie and Burt Reynolds personal Y82 selling for $480,000. Whenever we get one of these cars in stock they always generate a great flurry of activity. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in the years to come.
