Here is a Very Very cool 1964 Tempest Sport Coupe in GTO trim. It is actually titled as a 1964 GTO. You numbers guys may quit reading now. but for the money. this car is an excellent buy. Super straight and super solid. it has a very nice base/clear paint job. orktown blue. which is the original color. . all color sanded smooth as glass. Impeccable white and blue interior with buckets. Hurst shifter. It still has the original visors and headliner with a nickle size repair and one half dollar repair. but hidden behind the visor. I think a mouse was in there at some time. It has a factory tach in the dash. The motor is reported to be fresh with 425 HP. it is a vortec 350. 400 crank. (383 stroker). It has GM performance aluminum heads and matching intake with an Edlebrock 650CFM all as new with headers. Look at the Cast valve covers. they say Pontiac so only the most astute are going to pull your chain for correctness. It has dual and aluminized exhaust and a new fuel tank under there. The car runs out excellent. I just drove on a 1000 mile road trip. and with 3:73 gears. I got 15 MPG at 70 MPH and 3600 RPM. not bad. Used NO oil. ran cool and a whole lot of fun. If I'm going to point out faults. which are hard to find. I will say that the trans. has some general gear noise. not an immediate problem. may run for years without a rebuild kit. I just changed all the fliuds front to back and on deceleration. in second gear only. you have to keep light pressure on the shifter. it will pop out. The syncros however all seem good. at least no grinding in any gear. Still has the original T-3 headlights and the electrical checks to be fine. New wipers and defrost/heater make cross country travel very comfortable. It has a CD flip front 50W installed and nice speakers in the rear shelf. ot in the nice new door panels. She has a nice new Sanden A/C compressor and a new under dash A/c unit. like the old ones. This car draws thumbs up at the gas station. Mcdonalds or where ever you drive it. It's an attention magnet. Look at the pictures and tell me this car isn't cool and worth every penny. It is a dry. rust free western car with all original sheetmetal excellent paint. It has a new windshield and all the rest is original glass. The chrome is excellent. The Cragers are nice and the BF goodrich's have only a couple thousand miles on them. call with any questions.
