We’re selling this fantastic restomod ‘49 Silver Streak Delivery on behalf of a local client. The car was reportedly purchased new by two Pennsylvania women who owned and operated a chicken and produce farm. Following their passing, the car was purchased from their estate and thoroughly restored to stock form. The car then sold to a gentleman in Virginia who built the car into the restomod you see today. Some photos and many records from the build process will come with the car, documenting this car’s evolution from a stunning and unique classic to a seriously well-sorted, well-equipped, and usable driver. Exterior: Please take a look through the photos and video, as the car is documented in detail. This car was painted the correct Lake Blue Metallic in the early 2000s and the paint survives in excellent condition. Blemishes are limited to a few touched-up chips and scratches on the lower body, consistent with roughly 5k miles of road use since completion. Very much show-worthy and impressive, but surely not a 100-point concours car. Body is very nice and straight, with no dents or dings, but there is some visible waviness along the bottom of the rear door, indicative of some body filler. No rust bubbling bubbling up through the paint on this car...lower corners are all dry and clean. Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. Windshield and side windows were replaced when the body and paint were done. Chrome was all restored in 2016 (with receipts) and presents in excellent, mirror-like condition with no oxidation or damage. Illuminated front hood ornament was replaced in 2016 as well. Weatherstripping is all fresh. All four wheels and hubcaps are close-to-new, Michelin Defender tires are in excellent shape and the DOT number indicates they were manufactured in 2015. Interior: Again, please defer to the photos and video. Interior looks really good. Adjustable grey velour bucket seats are nice and comfortable and show minimal wear. A wooden center console has been added. This car is fitted with R134a Vintage Air, which blows cold, and heat blows hot. Dolphin gauges were fitted when the new drivetrain was installed, original cluster will come with the car as well. Gauges, lights, signals, wipers, radio (CD/AM/FM/AUX), USB charging plug-in, blower are all functional, and even the analog clock in the center of the dash is functional. Windows are roll-ups and track nice and smoothly. Side windows pop out and return nicely. Sunvisors hold their position, headliner is clean and tight. Grey carpeting looks good, nothing more than very light wear. Grey front floormats will come with the car as well. Underbody: This car is verrrrry nice underneath. Aside from the obvious suspension and braking upgrades, the car is very solid. In 2016 the inner rockers and body mounts were rebuilt and undercoated (with receipts), only other visible evidence of metal work is in the spare tire well. No active leaks, clean and dry underneath. This car runs and drives beautifully. Plug and play….no to-dos. Road trip ready. It fires right up first turn, idles nice and steady, stays cool, pulls HARD, shifts smoothly and on-time, tracks straight down the road, brakes straight and effectively, sounds great under throttle but is nice and silent off it, and handles extremely well. This car has been built to be an excellent driver, and that is exactly where it shines. Buy with confidence.
