1970 Pontiac Firebird Esprit

1970 Pontiac Firebird (Esprit) with a Pontiac 428ci 4bbl, turbo 400 automatic transmission, 12 bolt posi rear axle.

As can be seen from the pictures this 70 Firebird has been very well cared for over the years with 81,174k original miles and has received many upgrades. Back when I purchased the car it had already been upgraded to a 428ci and turbo 400 transmission and posi rear axle. The engine runs great and has a mild street cam with dual exhaust and performance mufflers giving it a real nice sound and idle. Transmission is a turbo 400 transmission which has approx 50 miles on a complete rebuild with upgraded clutches and a new torque converter. Upgrades to the drive train includes a 12 bolt posi rear axle, not sure of the gear size but its a normal range. All body and frame top to bottom is very solid and no rust anywhere, also the trunk floor is solid and real nice. In fact the condition of the bottom of the car is well above average for a car this age that has not been through a major restoration.
The wheels have been restored, they look great and are in excellent condition and the BF Goodrich tires have a lot of tread. Car has recently received a new gas tank, new water pump and a new radiator. The interior has a new carpet, the seats, door panels etc., are in real nice condition. The interior also has an upgraded TA steering wheel and TA gauges of which all work fine. The car has AC, it worked fine a couple of years ago, but I never used it and it needs some freon.
This is a real nice car to drive, in fact over all the other 70's cars I have owned its been one of my most pleasurable to drive. Unfortunately I have to sell due to advancing Parkinson or I would never let it go.
