A triple-black muscle car always has instant appeal. Of course, that grows even more when it's a real-deal 1967 Pontiac GTO with an enhanced 400 V8 and four-on-the floor. Not only is this a terrific muscle machine with an A/C interior, but it even has a cool story to tell, too!
The consignor says he purchased this from a man who worked at the Pontiac plant in the 1960, and when he retired, his new business was custom builds of the cars he helped create. That's how you get a restored GTO with plenty of extra love. He also knew exactly what the best ones were by creating the ultra-desirable triple-black package. The restoration was complete around 2009, and the consignor purchased it directly from the restorer in 2014 with about 500 miles on the odometer. So the mileage today tells you this has been kept as a classic. The straightness of the panels, the uniform look of the gaps, and cleanliness of the glass give it the proper underlying quality. As with any older restoration, there is room for improvement in the paint and brightwork. But overall, it's hard to escape the gravity of a black GTO hardtop with a black vinyl roof.
The interior was part of the full restoration. The factory-correct black was given the right investments to remains both clean and dark. It combines with the exterior paint and roof to deliver the ultra-desirable triple-black muscle car we all want. The seats, carpeting, and door panels all have the classic Pontiac look. But this was also upgraded to be a true driver's car. That means an upgraded sports steering wheel, Hurst shifter, and a custom dash panel feature a full package of AutoMeter Cobalt gauges. And the cold-blowing R134a air conditioning was recently recharged within the last few months. So you can roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop and enjoy it to the fullest.
The '67 GTO is that ideal year where the stacked headlight look met with an upgrade in displacement. So it's great to have a correct-style 400 cubic-inch V8 still under the hood. And it gets even better with a powerful setup that includes a Quadrajet 850 CFM carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, MSD electronic ignition, and programmable timing. There are even nice supporting components like upgraded pulleys and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. The headers add even more power while contributing to the rumble of the H-pipe dual exhaust w/Flowmasters. The V8 fires up with a powerful sound, and the four-speed manual transmission put you in firm control of it all. It's a strong driver, and even includes power steering and power brakes with front discs.
Complete with maintenance records, this the triple-black GTO with four-on-the-floor, an A/C interior, and a story to tell. So it's exactly what you want. Call today!!!
