Car description |

1957 Pontiac Star Chief 4 door hardtop Barn /garage find. Was sitting since 1975 but has had a lot of work done, and Is now roadworthy. Has the original 347 engine and hydramatic automatic transmission. Has had the following work done;
-New dual exhaust system-Rebuilt factory brake booster/master cylinder, all new wheel cylinders, brake shoes and fresh cut drums.-New fuel pump-4 brand new shocks-Full tune up, new plugs, wires, points, vacuum advance, and rebuilt original Rochester 4 barrel carburetor-Oil Pan cleaned and resealed-New aftermarket aluminum radiator and a new water pump.-4 brand new hankook tires.-Reconditioned and lined gas tank with anew sending unit-New power steering box seals.
Running driving and stopping car but still needs some work here and there. Engine has a slight tick when it’s cold, but goes away when the lifters pump up (about 30 seconds) Frame, quarter, and rocker panels are solid. Only rust appears to be in the drivers side front floor pan, and bottom of the trunk lid (whole bottom lip has Rot through. Can be fixed with a Chevy patch panel) Speedometer does not work, wipers do not work, and the heater core is disconnected. Seats were original leather but have cracked and split, and the foam has disintegrated. Have original paperwork back to the 2nd owner who bought it used in 1960 from a Pontiac dealer in Philadelphia. Clear NJ title in my name.
Good original survivor car, drive as is, or restore. Needs work, or can be driven as is. Was pulled out of over 40 year storage and put back on the road, so it will need things like weather stripping, gaskets, etc. Just got it running, and did not touch the cosmetics, so everything is in as found condition.
Sold as is, please see photos. Local pickup in Somerset New Jersey 08873. Any shipping is the responsibility of the buyer
$500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction close unless other arrangements have been made
