About this vehicle1969 GTO Hardtop. 400 cid/Turbo 400/3:23 axle.
Seller's NotesNice, fairly original 1969 GTO. All original sheet metal, rust free body and frame. Decent driver, but a 25 year old restoration that needs to be updated again. Numbers matching enginePlease contact seller via eBay for additional info as I have a twenty year history with this car
ExteriorRust free body with original sheetmetal. Floorpans, rockers and trunk floor all excellent condition. Car was produced in Arlington TX, sold and registered in Texas and then New Mexico until coming to Michigan in the late 90's. I've owned it since 2000 and its been in my garage since then. One repaint in Espresso Brown about 25 years ago. Paint has very good shine, but numerous scratches, nicks and some minor paint bubbling since its 25 yrs old. Endura bumper has slight twist to it, front valance does not draw up tight to it. It appears car may have had a minor front bump at some time in past as the core support has a slight bend to it and a wrinkle on the top plate (I would replace it if I could've found a nice one). This is about as good as a 1969 GTO as you can find from a body perspective, no messing around with panel replacement, window channel rust, floorboard replacement etc....The Espresso Brown/Gold interior is late 60"s period correct and is actually a nice color combo with the black vinyl top
InteriorGold interior in very nice condition. Dashboard is not cracked and the seat covers, door panels, headliner and carpet all have been replaced in the time I've owned it. Everything works, all glass good. I found the original build sheet under the rear seat when I removed to recover them
EngineOriginal numbers matching 400 cid engine. Runs fairly well, but has an unknown upgraded cam that results in a fairly aggressive idle quality that I never really cared for. Original 62 heads, Quadrajet carb and headers.Turbo 400 trans shifts well and is a PX 69 but serial number does not match VIN; it does leak a little if vehicle vehicle sits for a long time. Axle is original 3:23 non-posi.
In summary, this is a nice older restoration 1969 GTO that is still presentable to drive but is ready to be redone. It does have a few mechanical issues that need correction but the rust free body positions this GTO as a good base to start with. Please contact owner for additional info
